Every Day Commands
These are a subset of useful commands that every new player needs to understand in order to succeed in Legends of the Jedi.
[help]
This is the most important command to know. Preceding it with any other command or keyword will give you access to the associated help files for that subject.
This is how you speak in character to other characters. Sayto with a name or dub after it allows you to direct it at that player.
[newbiechat] [newbie]
A global out-of-character channel that only people under level 100 can talk on. Anyone that is logged in or monitoring Discord can see it.
[rpc]
A private channel that only you and the RPC members can see.
A private channel that only you and the IMM staff can see.
Can be used to display actions to other players. Socials brings up a list of predefined actions. Emotes/poses are free flowing. See the help file for more advanced uses.
A global in-character chat that goes to everyone in your clan. Your rank and division is displayed each time you speak.
[ooc]
A global out-of-character channel that goes to everyone currently logged into the game or monitoring on Discord.
[osay]
This is an out-of-character channel that broadcasts to everyone in the same room as you.
[hail]
When used on the bridge of a ship, you can hail other ships directly.
Sets the default color of all voice commands the character uses. Textcolor by itself will supply a list. Textcolor preceeded by a number will set the color of the characters voice.

These are the commands to move between rooms.
This command allows you to enter or leave ships and structures.
[approach]
This command moves toward mobs and players in the room. This is required to give them items or to hit them with melee weapons. Alternatively, approach none will move away from them.
[hail]
When used in an outside room, this command will bring up a list of locations that you can fast travel to. Hail Library for example.
[taxi]
When standing on a landing pad, this command will summon a public taxi ship.
[nearby]
This command shows everyone that is currently approached next to you.
[get] [take] [get all] [take all]
This command will get a single item, or all items. When followed with a container name, get item/all backpack, it will grab the item(s) from inside of said container. The command also works with credits: Drop amount credits.
This command is used to look in the current room, or to look at other players, mobs, and items: look player/mob/item. You can also look inside of containers: look in container.
This command shows a list of items, armor, and weapons the character is wearing. Items will also display their durability condition in this list after the item name.
This command lists all items the character is holding but not wearing.
[wear] [hold] [remove]
These commands are used to wear or remove items and equipment.
[give]
This command allows you to give items or credits to mobs or players.
[put]
This command is used to put items into containers.
[drop]
This command is used to toss unwanted items to the ground.
This command is used to turn flashlights and personal shield generators on or off.
Commands used for interacting with shop vendors. Please see the help file for more in depth usage options.
These commands allow a player to regain health and movement. Doing so in a bacta tank is more productive. Stand and wake will return the character to their feet.
[flee]
This is how you escape from a fight. You will run off in a randomly selected available direction.
Used to start a fight with NPCs. To attack another player the murder command must be used.
Reloads the ammunition of blasters by using an ammo clip in your inventory, the charge on forcepikes, vibroblades, and lightsabers using a battery in your inventory, or the ammo on a bowcaster by consuming a quarrel in your inventory.
[submit]
Similar to flee, except it drops your movement to zero, doesn't cause you to leave the room, and lags you. Does not work against NPCs.
These commands draw your weapon from a holster or place them back inside of it. You must have the weapon wielded to holster it. Optional holster names can be used for underlayer holsters.
[setblaster] [setb]
This changes the settings of a blaster to one of the following: full, high, normal, half, low, or stun. The higher the setting, the more ammo consumed.
[afk]
This command is used to let other players know that you are not at the keyboard. The command a second time will toggle it off. See the help file for further details.
[score] [score stat] [score level] [score time]
This command shows the character sheet for your character including stats, levels, credits, and more. score stat, time, and level show further details.
[showrace]
This command lists the price and deposit of every available race. Used in conjunction with a race name, it will show the class levels and the stats of that race.
This command enables or disables the display of tips.
[config]
This command shows the list of available configurations. Using a + or - sign followed by the config option will enable or disable that option. For example, config +autoloot.
This command shows how many credits you're currently holding. It is unwise to ever have less than 10,000 credits on you.
This shows a list of the skills currently available to you. Putting a skill name behind it will allow some mobs to teach you to 20%. Alternatively, a class name after will filter it to show only those of that class.
[slist] [slist feats] [slist all] [slist feats all] [flist]
This command shows all of the skills or feats for a class. Flist covers the force skills.
This command will show the status of all of your channels. Using a + or - sign followed by the channel name; i.e. channel -ooc, will enable or disable that channel.
[bot start] [bot stop] [bot status] [bot cancel]
These commands control the legal botting options. Please refer to the botting helpfile for more information.
[research]
Useable in a room with the [Library] flag, this skill is what you'll use to learn most other skills or languages. It is advised to research research first before researching any others.
[bank]
Useable in a room with the [bank] flag, this command allows you to open bank accounts, deposit credits, withdraw credits, or list your bank account numbers.
Useable in a room with the [Hotel] flag, this command will safely remove your character from the game until you log back in.
