launch confirm. seriously WHY? also endurance, carnage, clarity and everything else that forces you to wait for it to run out before you can rebuff. having to time player combat carefully by waiting for something to hit 0 rounds is moronic.[/quote:1bd0y5xb]
Launch confirm was put in to stop people from setting their taxis to like 50000 cost and having people launch them without thinking.
The "no-rebuff" was, AFAIK, put in to stop people from spamming them up to 9999 rounds like people do with armor. Which is dumb, because if you want to do it, you should have the ability.

Oh god. FORCE ARMOR. Why should I have to spend four hours spamming armor only to have it bug out, invert, and turn me into a walking bullseye?!

And I too afk when I’m waiting for things to happen. It turns out that if you look away from the monitor without afking, you’ll probably get permed by some random dick monster for no reason.

Should just make it so armor doesn’t let you stack it to -999 and to 9999 rounds like everyone who bugs out does. Those who use it in moderation never bug out.

Launch confirm, because most of us type it out of habit now anyway or have it aliased.

Another thing that irks me is clans that kill you when you’re in prison even when you cooperate and aren’t Jack Bauer’s long-lost relative from a galaxy far, far away.

Especially good clans.

Rebel Leader: ".. no? Okay. Did you kill anyone?"
Prisoner: "No! I’m just a pilot, I’ve never even.."
Rebel Leader: "IMPERIAL PILOT, OH MY GOD! MINIONS ATTACK!"
Minions: "DIE! *shoot shoot shoot*"
Rebel Leader, whisper: "See you in hell, you bastard."
Prisoner, osay: "WHAT THE HELL?"

You have been killed!
Blah blah clone blah blah RPC blah.

Blah.

I’d have to say the one thing out of what I listed that does seriously make me just want to throw my head through a brick wall is the one about lack of logs. Seriously. Guys if you’re going to be perming people, it’s better to be safe and have your asses covered in case it comes back to the RPC. I mean, sometimes I can understand some people not keeping logs like Army grunts or something who usually just take orders, but being a General giving the orders or doing perms yourself and then coming back and saying "Oh I don’t keep logs" makes me think you’re lazy or an idiot. *glares at no one in particular*

I’m not saying go back to the "whoever has worst logs loses" rule (that was stupid and lead to a lot of injustice), but there needs to be some drawback to people who seemingly always have an "oopsie" with their logs and yet perm people all the damn time. Particularly when they rage on RPC because the case didn’t go their way.[/quote:2t1pr707]

Good point.

Weaker point. There are already a handful of skills in (fortify, limber, and so forth) that you can top up whenever, without ever exceeding their original maximum number of rounds.

Non-player Vendors that can’t understand languages other than Basic. Every single vendor in the game should be able to understand every single language. Its just dumb that they don’t, not to mention the fact that you could just point at the object and toss the credits on the counter.

I don’t mind if they don’t speak every language, but they should DEFINITELY be able to speak the default language of every race that can’t speak Basic. Seriously, poor Geonosians. Also, if a vendor is a certain race then they should understand [i:1u2d81od]their[/i:1u2d81od] language. I’m sick of the Lorrdian clerks that don’t understand me when I’m speaking Kinetics.

…Though, on a side note, why is ‘list’ even language-specific? That’s just looking around the store. ‘Buy’ makes sense, if you assume that you’re bartering… I mean, that’s why charismatic characters get charged less, right?

Even bartering can be done by pointing, grunting, and laying out sums of money.

This. I’ve had it happen to me so many times. Hell, I’ve been caught doing shit, I know I’ve been caught so I think to myself, well I’m busted. Might as well cooperate and maybe they’ll go easy on me. Escorted to jail. Arrestor gives me the stink eye. Leaves. Comes back with another goon and they shoot me up and whisper me something catchy like "Got you asshole! You’ll think twice before (doing whatever it is that got me in here)." Dead. I mean c’mon. I broke the law. Gotcha. But I also cooperated completely and you still killed me? For what reason and to what end? To satisfy a lust to have a high PK rate? Give me a break. That’s the kind of stuff that needs to stop.

Launch confirm never really annoyed me though with the inclusion of the prices being displayed in the taxi now, I think it can go away. If you’re in that much of a hurry to read the fine print and pay 50K for a taxi, you deserve to pay that 50K. Being aware of your surroundings can save your life…. and your wallet.

Forcers using mindtalk to check and see if you’re online.

This may have allready been mentioned but we need way more player homes. Or at least code in something where if a person is inactive for a long time their home becomes unowned.

This, actually, doesn’t really work. Regardless of whether or not your victim is online, mindtalk will show as making a mental connection with him/her. If someone doesn’t want to be made known, they just have to not respond period. Simple as that. Don’t blame mindtalk if YOU are the one letting them know you are online.

Or it could just be fixed so it doesn’t automatically connect, like it logically should be. This thread is about things that don’t make sense…not things that you could just ignore and deal with.
