Emperor's Final Revenge - Disaster Strikes
Your holoviewer spins up again and the Imperial Cog appears, fading to the Emperor on the bridge of the Death Star, a planet swirling in white behind him through the viewport, "Good evening, Galaxy. It is time to finally settle the score once for all and test out the true power of this weapon. Hoth: a source of ultimate treachery against my Empire. The amount of undo stress this place has caused the Galaxy is irrefutable, housing the Rebellion and Jedi's attempts against me." He looks off-screen, "Set the weapon to 100%." They reply, tentatively, "...but..th..Emperor..the last time w-" Suddenly, Maldiv's hand raises and he clenches a black-gloved finger and thumb together. Choking sounds are heard off-camera and the Emperor lifts his hand, "Insolence." Suddenly, his finger and thumb meet and you hear a sickening POP! just before something hits the floor. The Emperor's gaze shifts elsewhere, "Set the weapon to one. hundred. percent." A different, fear-stricken voice replies, "Yes, Lord Emperor. Right away, your Majesty." The view flicks to the Death Star in the Hoth Sector, positioned between the planet and its sun. The superweapon charges, its bowl pulsing with light again and again, brighter and brighter. The color of the reflective material shifts to a pure white, and the feed begins to crackle. Audio pops, and the weapon activates. Looking through now-violent static, just infront of the Death Star, a swirl of purple and blue appears, spreading out and enveloping the system. The camera's color cuts out, the instability of the feed increasing, and the small moon base tilts rather violently, striking due to its size. Suddenly, you hear a strained voice, through crackling static, "Noo-" before the feed cuts abruptly off. There has yet to be any word of Emperor Rocik, the Imperial Death Star, or signals from the Hoth system. Reports from the galaxy have filtered in claiming Star Destroyers and other support craft randomly exiting hyperspace at random coordinates, causing mayhem with planetary shipping lanes and untold damage due to colliding ships at the unexpected arrivals.

The Imperial March of the Death Star
The Imperial Cog pops onto your holoviewer with a low boom, fading to the bridge of the Death Star. Atop an obsidian-laden throne near the back of the bridge, the Lord Emperor sits, wrapped in black. Out of the viewport behind him, you see a planet steeped in swirling hues of orange and yellow. "Good evening, Galaxy. For too long has Bespin harbored deplorables--those terrorist forces that have struck out against my vision. Criminality breeds in kind here. Ship stripping and other forms of thievery are all but common place. I deem the planet a lost cause." Expressionless, he looks off camera, "Fire when ready." Your view flicks to outside of the Death Star, positioned between Bespin and the system's sun. The bowl of the weapon is already pulsing brightly and deadening, as previously seen, "80% capacity. Engage." Suddenly, four tendrils of bright red arc from the edge of the bowl towards the central spire, melding into a thick red beam that shoots towards Bespin. Fire immediately ignites with the atmospheric gas, and webs of red and orange arc widely over the stratosphere before the entire planet EXPLODES in a flash! The view hangs a moment before flicking back to the Emperor, but the feed appears slightly fuzzier, and the audio throws static. "The scores are al**st settled. Next, Hot*, and af***? Hmm..*erhaps I'll visit my dear friend Devin on Korr**an. He can be L-." In static, the Emperor chuckles heartily as the holoviewer suddenly cuts out as the feed is disrupted. Shortly after the broadcast, reports of hyperlane disturbances were reported around the Anoat sector: navcomputers were unwilling to recognize the Anoat system, and after the events cleared, many reported being pulled out of hyperspace and unable to recalculate. All of these reported incidents were accompanied by a complete and utter loss of communications. It is unclear if the Imperial new weapon intentionally causes this, or if it was merely a coincidence as such phenomena have occured before.

Auto-rebooter is Back!
Our friendly neighborhood LotJ Discord Bot now monitors the MUD to see if it goes down or is lagged out. If there's nothing for 2 minutes or more, it will kill and reboot the MUD automatically and post a message to #general in Discord. If you notice anything funny with this, please let Rojan know ASAP! If you are found to be abusing this somehow to intentionally lag out and kill the MUD, there will be severe punishments and potentially even bans.

Maw Installation EoE Reward Time
Far enough into the era that I can sit down and focus on this now. As promised in Changes 1751, Pirates of Round 1 and Imperials of Round 2 will win major prizes of 50 Invisible Market Coins. Those who were on Team Pirate for Round 2 will receive minor prizes of 25 Invisible Market Coins. The reward can only be claimed by each account once, and you only receive one reward (whichever one was the higher reward). I'll be paging accounts to let each of you know what duraprize you qualify for. Once you have your account page, immchat on your reward ON the character you want the reward. Please conform to HELP IMMCHAT when requesting your reward. At some point, you're immchat of "This character." or some other not very descriptive immchat is going to get you a very blank look.
