      bank <account> transfer <credits> <otherperson’saccount>

This would be awesome, and would allow for the remote payment of people such as bounty hunters that you didn’t trust enough to get near you. It’d also be great for giving people money from afar.

How will you prevent people from transferring money to alt’s accounts or other things like that?

The person they’re sending to would have to be connected.

Ezaco got it right. I hadn’t thought of that .. but there’s the solution.

Yay! someone else ripped off an idea I posted on the old forums years ago! That must mean it’s a good idea.

There’s a problem with it though.

      scenario 1:
      bank transfer <your account> <ammount> <their account number>

this means that the target person has to cough up an account number, which could possibly lead to them being hacked, your payment being stolen, and them blaming you for it, and coming after you and perming you. However, that being a realistic risk… /shrug
Also this means you could transfer to an alt’s account, as the game couldn’t know if that account’s owner is logged in or not.

      Scenario 2:
      bank transfer <your account> <ammount> <person’s name>
the code would have to be impossibly changed to allow for account numbers to be associated with a player’s name, and maybe a default account number for recieving funds.

And flek, the downside to the drone system is that drones can’t be recieved aboard ships, which is where this skill comes in… if you can get around these problems.

Well most ships dont have banks either. I dont like the transfer command to much abuse. What I have always done when I rp the ransome thing is kidnap someone hold them for ransom when someone wants to pay they have to send a drone with cash to my victem. Victem is released on cash. If the person is a kidnapper why would they release account or name or take a victem to some public bank?

      Isn’t calling a drone a skill?

It -IS- a skill. Also, drones can only send two million at once, a problem I experienced just today.

So then it sucks for people who can’t call drones, thus the want for a bank transfer.

That’d be fine, if it were a low skill, as showclan and showplanet are.

I also got to talking to another person about this and potential for abuse. You said cant transfer if person is not online. Well What if someone spamned accounts to find a good one by trnasfering and then used the good one to hack.

Easy fix: You cannot transfer less than 20000 credits. Nobody’s going to waste that much trying to find an account to hack.

There are a lot more race/main combinations that get 30 leadership that I know of than ones that get 20 slicer…
