Just getting a general idea – What scripts would you like to see; used by MUSHclient for LotJ?

Ship building(cycling through components/ships) and automated cargo running would be nice, gets annoying when you want to do it at length.

I know this is for MUSHClient, but I’d like to see a zMUD script for cycling through shipbuilding components.

Shipbuilding would be an easy one to do, and I’ll be making one when I eventually get around to actually building some ships. =p
Cargorunning… I dunno. I could do it, but I think it might make the game a little unbalanced if cargo running were made too easy. Inflation, etc.

Exactly. They know that if everyone had them it would be baaad. Kind of like nuclear weapons. =p

Except without the explosion… or the radiation…. or the power… Or anything to do with a nuclear weapon <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt="" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –>
Though if you make me blow up at you it’d be like Hiroshima up in here!

I’m looking for a script that’ll kill forcers for me, what’ve you got?

You know I could actually write a script to sit afk on a landing pad and have a simple command called nuke <playername> the second they board a ship you toss in a nade and spam close the hatch. But you can either A do this manually or B trigger it. So joking aside, got a better idea for a script?

Yeah. Make a script that will remove your repeater, blades, forcepikes, bowcasters, and all your equipment when a lightsaber is drawn. Instant I.W.I.N. Button.

I’ve had this wild vision of interpreting radar readings into this elite-style visual map of things. I know it is possible, but I guess my scripting skills aren’t good enough just yet to figure it out. <!– s:? –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt="" title="Confused" /><!– s:? –>
What says you Anastasius?

Quite possible to but with a 2d display and a 3d grid I don’t know how I am going to get over hump. Any suggestions?

You could probably display it all ortho style. Or send data to another program to do it in 3d, but then you’d have to navigate your 3d view around and it would be more of a distraction than a help.
It seems like it would be possible to communicate to an outside program, but a massive pain in the ass. It would be cool. But yeah.. pain in the ass.
Edit:
The biggest problem would be the fact it’s not live. You have to update it by manually typing radar, which wouldn’t be that bad, or having it spam radar and then filtering out the spam. I know MUSHclient has a way to pass data to other applications, and even if you couldn’t get that to work, you could always write it (shipnames and locations) to a textfile to be read from the other application.
It would work but it would be like watching a snapshot of where things were, a visual version of radar, things wouldn’t move.
You could make a version where things moved but it would need way, way, way too much data, and even then still wouldn’t be ‘live’.
Maybe I’ll tinker with this.
