Custom prompts are one of my favorite things about LotJ. I tend to make different prompts for all my characters, so i’ll be posting a few here. Feel free to share!
Here’s one to start. I just made it the other day for a new character.

I usually end up using different color variations of the prompt below – this one is grey/white, the one i used for Andras for last era:

Ah, the line break must be because "belligerent" took up so much space. <!– s:mrgreen: –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt="" title="Mr. Green" /><!– s:mrgreen: –>

Color-coordinated for memorization (red for health, green for mv, etc) and organized on stats|RP|OOC. It’s about as extensive as I can get it, but the lack of descriptors does keep it compact (if a bit hard to get used to).I’ve had the same prompt for years now… makes things simple (the only addition has been the recent current com channel/encryption, as well as language).

I’m pretty sure my prompt is the best prompt out there!

"STOP, QUIET TIME!"
While I’m trying not to ridicule that prompt based on its spam level and the bad (IMO) formatting/spacing (Really, you can’t remember that the 4k one is HP via SOME form of color-coding?), that time thing was serious lulz.P.S. It’s ambiance.
-
July 22, 2008 at 6:34 pm #7451
I don’t use ambience in my prompt, actually… And.. thanks for ridiculing me, but I happen to like my prompt, and don’t feel it is spammy in any way. Thank you, come again.

Can someone tell me what the Ambiance actually is? Try as I might, I can’t figure out what it’s used for…
-
July 22, 2008 at 7:25 pm #7454
It’s used to determine whether people can hear what you say into your comlink or not.

If only there was something like
[quote:1g33cz5r]AMBIENCE
[:: Legend of the Jedi ::]Ambience levels are a rating of the noise in any given area. They are
broken up into three values: LOUD, AVERAGE, and QUIET. Loud areas are
any crowed place, such as Coruscant. Average is less crowed places, and
sometimes onboard ships. Quiet is large, open areas like Kashyyyk forests.Ambience affects yell ranges as follows:
Yells travel 2 rooms in LOUD Areas. (3 for ‘yelling in the distance’)
Yells travel 4 rooms in AVERAGE Areas. (5 for ‘yelling in the distance’)
Yells travel 6 rooms in QUIET Areas. (7 for ‘yelling in the distance’)Ambience also affects the ‘Talking Comlinks’, which are explained
elsewhere. The effects are listed below:
QUIET Areas allow you to hear exactly what was said into the comlink.
AVERAGE Areas allow you to spot the action, but not hear the message.
LOUD Areas blocks all notice of the action.
[/quote:1g33cz5r]To explain it in detail! <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt="" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –>
