[sarcasm] That is about as good an idea as Verpines having penises. [/sarcasm]

The breadth of what we know of xenobiology cannot confirm or deny the existence of verpenis.

Verpine came in two types—intelligent, hermaphroditic Verpine and unintelligent worker drones. At the time of their entrance into Galactic society, only five percent of Verpine were intelligent, but the demands of technological civilization required the Verpine to restructure their society. After the change, egg-laying Verpine used a special enzyme to ensure all eggs laid developed into intelligent Verpine. Any drones needed by a Verpine hive were produced via cloning.
When a Verpine hive needed more members, some of the fertile Verpine would be asked to lay eggs, while others would be assigned to fertilize them.
While hermaphrodite, there is evidence to indicate that individual Verpine had definite genders, either permanently or at some point of their existences.
What does all this mean, well they need the gender command, and they dont have penises!

I am not going to participate in this argument on grounds that insect anatomy science of crickets and mantises, which verpines are based on, supports my roleplay, and it is diverting from the original topic of force pikes.
Back on topic, what if force pikes let you able to block extra exits from a room?
Say you are blocking South. Then you automatically block southwest and southeast. Or you block southeast, and you automatically block both south and east. In this way, you could make force pikes useful for security.

This wouldn’t be logical considering a -huge- majority of the rooms in the game represent massive areas. Landing pads, streets, so on….and not just doorways. However, not a really bad idea overall, it just doesn’t work with the system, keep brainstorming and something will come up.

Instead of affecting that area of blocking, maybe make it so that force pikes make it harder to shove you? Or, to take a more combat approach to their benefits, make it so that you’re harder to approach once you’re in combat?
