      I’m back from sabbatical and starting a release plan.  Anyone have any burning requests / suggestions / bugs to look at?

      Yeah, actually I got a suggestion. Telepathy and Farspeak are far too close to being the same skill, with Telepathy being just a bit on the useless side as its one room only. It should be changed to a sort of “systemspeak” skill for forcers (To communicate only with trained forcers who have the skill in the system), for when, say, a Jedi/Sith are on a world with one of their enemy, and they are trying to communicate but don’t want to reveal their name, thus allowing for RP (And yeah, Taunting too, but I’d like to think MOST forcers could keep it in their pants better than that.)

      If you never had the opportunity to look at the navigator feat, it still is a mystery how it functions! I remember mailing you about it.

      Maybe instead of telepathy, get a battlemeld ability?

       

      Also, maybe get a difference between bombard? Like a bombard military and a bombard everything function? Bombing military targets would give you less of a support impact, with GNI reporting it as such. Bombing everything would affect everything, and GNI would report that the clan is bombing civilian and military targets indiscriminately.

      Welcome back.

      Someone was mentioning our lack of gambling games in LOTJ. Maybe pazaak/sabbac tables (Xavier should still have a script somewhere), slot machines, or even some holochess/dejarik boards for letting the wookiee win. Swoop/pod racing is also a fever dream we have.

      Oooo, and it’s kind of fluff, but any chance we can make it so players can set up CGs? At least maybe ground cgs? Dunno if that’s a coder thing or a builder thing, but it’s definitely something I’d like to get more practice in doing.

      A couple of skills and stuff.

       

      Avoidtax – You can avoid paying taxes when selling cargo, or when selling in a pawn shop. (maybe even player shops). Security could alert the planet owning clan, though.

      I’m fond of the idea of changing squadrons to be something that are manned and not done remotely from capital ships, paving way for  daring starfighter pilot antics.

      I would absolutely love love love a change to how squadrons work. I would play a pilot if I could be a starfighter pilot without getting my ass shot off unless I screw up.

      I am Bando and I approve this message. Squadrons being more player controlled would be awesome and I think might allow for some more interesting RP. Maybe allow for a small clan to do a raid on some ship or planet or something… I cant really think out details right now but this idea could be really built on for more.

      To kind of snowball with the squadron refit idea, why not have a feat that gives you a bonus while flying a starfighter, and/or have a squadron with you.

      For starfighters, I suggest the ancient suggestion of making manned starfighters unhittable by cappies entirely, and manned “transports” (IE Firesprays and such) only hittable with a cappies turrets, though that leaves a whole tractor beam question…so it should probably be done at the start of next timeline giving plenty of finetuning time to make it right.

      I defiantly want to see squadrons be forced to have a PC pilot.

      -Firstly starfighters need to counter capital ships. A squadron should have a good chance against a single capital ship.

      -Gunships/corvettes should be the answer to star fighter squadrons.

      -Squadron starfighters should fly in formation with the lead pilot. None of this ‘squadron nav all’ stuff. Or have the option for auto-matic formations. Let starfighters mimic the lead pilot in all commands.

      -Starfighters need one escape pod so there is the option of escape podding and surrendering.

      -Turbolasers should never hit a starfighter and lasers from capital ships should probably not hit them either. Missiles I don’t have a problem with.

      -Small speed buff to sublight speed, nerf hyperspeed more if you want.

      The plus sides of redoing star fighters is that any level pilot can use them but only higher level pilots get the extra skills like roll, precision etc. More clan members can participate in fleet fights. There can be more small scale engagements without risking capital ships. Star fighters are really cool and a big part of star wars, MANY people will want to play pilots if they can be starfighter pilots.       Broadside – ram one ship into another ship to do massive damage to the target and moderate damage to the attacker. Or destroy it outright. Must be within 100 distance to attempt.
