The new Coruscant added diversity. It added realism, too–something I’m normally all for.

Most MUDs are written in C. So find a book on C code. Not C++, C#.. plain old C.

Taking for granted that the server is in C, but the actual mud (commands and such) are in the Smaug language. Check out the Code section on the legendsofthejedi.com site for an example.
