Weapons Testing
The Empire tests new weapon on Tatooine.
The broadcast opens up to the planet of Tatooine, the twin suns off in the distance. In orbit of the sandy ball of rock is a Subjugator cruiser, its weapons slightly different from the ancient weapons installed more than a decade ago. The scene cuts to the interior of the bridge where a red-haired female in a cape stands alongside an Imperial Navy Officer, who after a word with her adjusts the targeting computer and opens fire on the surface below. Bolts of green energy rip through the atmosphere and land in the desert below, though many shots also hit a nearby settlement of tusken raiders, completely annihilating them along with their crude sand huts. "Rumor has it the Empire is using the Arkanis system, a former trade hub now abandoned in the wake of the ORC wars, for weapons testing. Anonymous sources from within the Imperial Palace say that the Imperial R&D Department has been working non stop on a new design designed to increase the Imperial Navy's firepower." After a lengthy volley of turbolaser fire, the Naval Officer halts the bombardment, stopping to take readings of the surface below. "While they were unwilling to provide any more information on what exactly this entailed, they did say it was a design that would strike fear into the hearts of any potential enemies of the Empire."'
