Sith Massacres occur on Mandalore and Ithor

The GNI logo appears briefly accompanied by a generic breaking news fanfare, before the feed switches to a middle-aged man sitting beside a graphic stating "SITH MASSACRE" in styled bright red text. "Recent reports from the Outer Rim have flooded the GNI investigative division. While much is unknown, there have been confirmed attacks on both Ithor and Mandalore today. As a warning to viewers, what you're about to see may be extremely disturbing." Shaky footage shows a mostly empty plaza on one of Ithor's herd ships where two Ithorians lie motionless near an entrance to a shop, streaks of blood surrounding them. Blurry motion of a dark cloaked figure passing between a different pair of shops attracts the camera's attention, then the sound of metal slicing is heard as the camera drops to the ground. The feed rewinds to the blurry figure and
zooms in, showing a humanoid whose face is mostly obscured, but their red skin and a set of tendrils hanging from their chin identify them as a member of the Sith race. "Governing Rebel and Imperial forces reported that a minor incursion on these two planets was found and eliminated, but there are at least a hundred civilians dead or missing between them. GNI has also received unsubstantiated reports that the Sith have taken control of some sort of Imperial naval facility. And now for more background, we turn to our reporter on the ground on Korriban."

Footage of the bustling Dreshdae spaceport plays, flipping through various scenes of everyday life as a voiceover begins, "It has been over twenty years since the end of the Sith War which plagued this galaxy in previous generations, as covered in the historical GNI archives numbered 6 through 9, and in the time since, Korriban has been ruled by a elected council with the peace treaty signed at the end of the war dictating oversight by other nearby worlds. The ruling council today unanimously distanced themselves from these
recent attacks, claiming no association with the assailants. Still, tensions are high on the planet as a population who have been silent in all conflicts over the last twenty years fear they may soon face  repercussions."

With that, the GNI logo reappears and the broadcast cuts out.
