Mon Cala follows Arkania's lead and joins the Rebel Alliance
A circular insignia with the words "Rebel Alliance" appears on the screen, spiraling for a moment before the broadcast cuts to a mid-sized human male, unassuming except for the look of determination and resolve on his face. Behind him -- and a thick transparisteel wall -- is the calming seascape of Mon Cala. He takes a spot in front of the camera and begins: "People of the Galaxy. I am elated to announce the formal inclusion of Mon Cala into the Rebel Alliance. Mon Cala is a charter member, being among the first to support our cause."
The footage shifts to a montage of people of all races -- Arkanians, Humans, Mon Calamari, and more -- on the ground, delivering bundles of food, medicine, and other relief supplies to the citizens of Mon Cala, looks of relief and gratitude on their faces. The camera pans to the flag of The Rebel Alliance being raised in West Heurkea City.
The footage cuts back to Cygnus, as he continues: "None of us are free until we are all free, and few worlds have suffered under the Empire's racist policies quite like Mon Cala. We are honored to bring Mon Cala into the Rebel Alliance and work hand-in-hand with the Mon Calamari and Quarren peoples to bring about a new day of peace, prosperity, and equality for all."
