DRONE DRONES
[:: Legends Of The Jedi ::]Message Drone are a droid that acts as a carrier pigeon that can be used to
send items, credits, and messages to other characters in the game. The
receiving character needs to be logged in and not on a ship or in a jail cell
in order for their package to arrive. The drone WILL wait in limbo until they
log in, but that is susceptible to being erased with copyovers and mud crashes.
You will not be reimbursed if this happens, sorry.
SENDING A DRONE
1) - Use the CALL command to summon a drone. This will not work if you are on a
ship or have the maximum number of followers. The drone will take a few seconds
to arrive.
2) - If youre sending items or credits, give them over to the drone now. Note
that when your drone arrives, it will drop everything on the floor except
credits, so its recommended to put them in a bag or container, then giving that
to the drone.
3) - You need to give your drone a message disk with your receivers character
name in the to field. Check out help datamem more on how to create a disk.
When you receive a drone, it will drop the message disk and any items its
holding on the ground. If the drone has credits, you can either use the beg
skill or kill it - dont worry, theyre easy to take down.
