LOTJ has a fully-functional cargo trading system that gives players theopportunity to make money, governing clans to collect taxes, and smugglers
to... well, smuggle!
It's a basic enough principle: buy low and sell high. The showplanet <planet>
resources command will show you a planet's available resources. The game's
cargo routes are set and balanced by the staff at the same time we lay out the
timeline's map with an eye for creating different viable routes and potential
clash points between clans.
By default, players must obtain a cargo-running permit from the governing clan,
although clans can disable that by turning a planet into a freeport.
Syntax: buycargo <ship> <type> <amount>
Syntax: sellcargo <ship> <type> <amount>
Syntax: listcargo <ship>
Check the cargo bays of a nearby ship you have access to, or the ship you're
currently on
Syntax: jettison <pod number>
Jettison one of your ship's cargo pods into space. The jettisoned pod can then
be manipulated with tractor beams.
