DEVLIST

Implementing developments in a balanced way can be a challenge. Implementing
incremental improvements to weapons/gear/ships is easier than adding new,
unique items (especially ones that require new code), and we keep that in mind
when reviewing development submissions.

Clans cannot stack the same stat over multiple developments in the same era.
Multiple clans can develop the same upgrade, but not upgrade on top of another
development done within the same era.

For example, at the beginning of the era, there might be a storebought armor
durasteel which provides +50 hp. A clan could develop one with +150 hp. Another
(or the same) clan could also develop a different flavor of upgrade, with +50
hp and +2 damage roll.

increased dodge, detect hidden)

Ships:
Clans can develop ship blueprints with story-appropriate focuses, and the staff
is open to discussing new focuses not outlined below. We have a bank of
pre-built starship templates we can customize, and if you're interested in
laying out and writing interior descriptions for a ship not in the bank, let us
know.

Fighters (combat, travel)
Transports (travel, envirosuit rescue)
Freighters (small and fast, big and slow)
Gunboats (slower mini-corvettes, faster mega-fighters)
Corvettes (combat, travel, luxury amenities, jamming, envirosuit rescue)
Frigates (general combat, projectiles, carrier, jamming)
Cruisers (general combat, carrier)
Battleships (general combat)

Ships with major unique bonuses (cloaking, gravity well, unique platforms or
significant flagships) are one-offs and provided pre-built. They aren't always
available and must fit the current gameplay setting.

Pre-made armor or weapons with improved stats
Programmed devices (many possibilities here, based on staff discretion)
Cybernetics (one step better than what's available on vendors)
Strength, constitution, dexterity, intelligence, wisdom
Subdermal (damage reduction) Skeletal (+hp)
Dermal ridges (+damroll) Toxicity recovery
Underwater breathing Detect invis
