CLANMOTD

[:: Legends Of The Jedi ::]

Syntax: clanmotd
Syntax: clanmotd edit

This command allows clan leaders to write up or edit an MOTD message displayed
to all their members when they log in. A perfect usage would be to coordinate
clan actions, or to spread the word about new clan EQ. There are many uses for
it, and it is up to the clan leaders to figure them all out.

Use the EDIT option to edit your clan's motd.

UPDATED: Apr 11, 2024. Welcome to Era 3 Forcers!

SETTING:
With the rise of the Sith within the Empire controlling events leading
into a Galactic Civil war, the response of the Jedi to contain them has
made the public more aware than ever of the mysterious power that is
called the Force. While the number of people capable of using this power
remains low, some signs suggest that more will begin to appear. Those
who use the Force should continue to act as their conscience and ideals
dictate. As always, we ask that if you find yourself in a situation where
you're fighting non-Force characters to consider how it looks and plays.
Just remember that as a Force user, you generally have the upper hand and
your actions affect a story meant to be interesting for everyone.

FORCE UPDATES FOR NEW PADAWANS/APPRENTICES:
- Force skills are now learned through the Force Echoes system. You have 24
hours to follow a trail of 4 force echoes in order to earn a 3-use holocron
connected to a random skill within your forcer's tree.
- Any forcer can perform the echo quests, but for roleplay purposes
apprentices should only do it with the guidance of their current master.
- You can now recall the current Force Echo with the command checkecho.
- Force Echo quests are now unique to each individual, meaning you are likely
to have different worlds and holocron from others in the same Echo cycle.
- Rolling for force now requires a certain number of play hours on a character
(changes 2422)
- You are limited to 3 force levels per day, but that total rolls over if not
used (changes 2419)
- Farsight has been nerfed (changes 2413)
- Holocrons now indicate uses left.
- Added a level check to the echo system, should no longer get picks above your
current level with some exceptions.
- Fixed some bugs within the echo quest.
- All holocrons can now be stored and accounted for on the shelves in the event
of a restoral is needed.
- An unusual edge case in force echo quests has surfaced: Do not use focus at
the same time as another forcer if you both have a ripple in the same room.
There is a strong chance this will give you a false echo and you'll have to
either explore every world looking for your remaining echo spots, or wait for
it to expire and start a new one.

&039A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

&220STAR WARS: LEGENDS OF THE JEDI

It has been five years since the Battle of Fondor and a tense peace has settled
across the stars. The REMNANTS of the Galactic Empire fought on after the death
of Emperor Banis, but they were no match for the growing industrial and
military might of the Rebel Alliance. Beaten and battered, they had no choice
but to sign the Mon Cala Peace Accords.

With nothing left to rebel against and no interest in returning to the failed
ways of the Old Republic, the GALACTIC ALLIANCE was born, pledging to forge a
new era of cooperation and progress. Still, after decades of failed galactic
governance, many planets have opted to go it alone. This newfound independence
has reopened old wounds previously shut by the Republic and Empire, and some
fear new regional conflicts are beginning to brew.

Amidst war-torn systems and the looming specter of uncertainty, whispers of
newfound hope and opportunity echo throughout the galaxy. As factions maneuver
for power and influence in the wake of the Galactic Empire's defeat, a delicate
balance teeters between peace and chaos. Will you rise to the challenge and
shape the destiny of the galaxy, or will you succumb to the temptations of
greed and power? Only time will tell. Welcome to LEGENDS OF THE JEDI!
