      PROJECT UPDATE

      http://tinyurl.com/b2uj733

The Underworld is coming along nicely. It’s laid out into two separate zones, the Outlander Club and the actual underworld. The underworld is 100% laid out, 50% desc’d, and 0% programmed and 0% quest’d. Besides being a maze of hidden passages, safe passages through the underworld periodically change.

In the Outlander Club, I have already have Xavier’s arena progs from Ziost up and running with his blessing. A number of quest lines have been established. I am going to be working on gambling programs tonight.

All in all, it’s coming together at a pace I’m happy with. It will be ready to go in one form or another at the start of the new timeline, but I need your help!

I’m currently finishing the club’s layout and I need some descriptions written up while I’m working tonight. Right now I’m working on the arena floor. It’s built into the basement/cellar of the club and isn’t a very glamorous place. There’s the hallways, there’s a grimy bacta tank, a registration/wait room, a small one-room arena, a four room arena, and a three-room gym.

Please post anything you write in this thread so others know what’s done.

An old refurbished bacta  tank has been installed here, the floors have started to turn in color from use and little

to no cleaning over the ages. The bacta itself doesn’t even fully fill the tank, forcing the user to position themselves awkwardly in order to get proper healing. A strange humming sound emits from the rear of the tank, likely the generator that sounds as if it is ready to break at a moments notice. A grimy rebreather mask floats inside the gooey liquid waiting for the next victim.

A simple counter of drab grey durasteel has been bolted into the floor here, a shoddy job at best but it does the job. The registration station offers a simple scanner ready to input the statistics of the next fighter, manned by an alien from some far off galaxy. The room is cleaner than most in the area, along the walls depict a few pictures of former champions along with some of the more gruesome, and crowd pleasing kills over the years. Along the walls, uncomfortable looking chairs have been bolted to the floor allowing participants to sit and wait. From time to time the roars of the crowd can be heard.

Throwing bacta in here anway, even though seryb beat me to it

A thin film of slime does little to instill confidence in the ability of this small and antiquated bacta tank to perform it’s job. Small pockets of air bubble up from the bottom, each one taking a seemingly random path toward the surface. Each bubble reaches the top of the tank and pops, resembling the sound of frying meat. The quiet hum of the motor grows louder on occasion, sputtering for a few moments, interrupting the airflow connect to the rebreather mask floating in the tank

The gym has seen better years, a cardio facility if you could call it that would be what this area was envisioned to be years ago. The padded flooring has started to tear in some areas. What was once pristine is now aged and decayed. The walls looked to be a nice forest green when the gym opened but have yellowed in some places. An odd whurring noise can be heard from what you would guess is a air filtration of system of some sort. By the scent of this place it is no longer working properly. For it’s faults, the area is still in working fashion for those who wish to get in a quick run, and stretch themselves out so they are limber for the upcoming bout.

      GYM MAIN ROOM

This section of the gym like it’s counterpart has seen better years. Bench presses, squat racks, free weights and more have been clustered about the room. At one point there must have been some sort of design to their locations but now it seems to be a senseless jumble of heavy objects. The walls are lined with mirrors, some of them cracked, others taking on a cloudiness near the edges. A few patrons can be heard grunting as they try to outdo each other, surprisingly enough it seems as if a trainer frequents this place from time to time.

      GYM WEIGHT ROOM

A damp, humid blast hits you in the face as you enter the showers, The room is barren rectangular box save for 20 or so shower heads planted into the wall in front of you. Thoughtfully the owners of this establishment have made some shorter or taller for patrons who might be size challenged. Against the wall near the exit is a set of lockers, all missing doors and starting to rust from the damp climate yet suitable for someone trying to store bloody gear while they wash off the gore that is stuck to their person.

The Slums of the Coruscant Underground

Hanging at the intersection of Daring Way and Vos Gesal Street, the true form of the underworld is on display in the slums. Throughout the area you could see buildings ancient and run down, some dating back a few hundred years while others infested with the lowest form of life Coruscant has.   However, it is not the buildings that show the darkness, but the characters themselves. From an array of different hookers on every corner to the death stick dealers, ready to make a profit. The streets are riddled with crime and corruption ready to ensnare any wood be passer.

This smaller arena must be for a the less attractive fights on the ticket. A hard dirt and sand floor greats any gladiator taking up position. The walls of the arena themselves are made up of some naturally forming rock, circling the fighters. In a few places that have begun to crumble, from what you are uncertain. The seats for fans, gamblers, and all others who frequent this area rest just above those crumbling walls circling the arena in a dizzying array as they travel upwards.

      A beat up street.
As you turn the corner onto the beat up street, the deterioration of the lower city is on full display. Further investigation reveals that behind ever demolished building, you can see the remains of corpses  of random citizens, signs of being eaten by the zombie like devolved humans letting you know this place is dangerous. Other than that, the familiar sounds of hookers, and the smell of spice coming from the death stick dealers lets you know that the underworld is riddled with  each step you take and doesn’t improve.

A dark corridor unfolds before you, the lighting once seemed to work in unison now however various units flicker in and out at different points. The floor is dusty, and the scent of blood, sweat, and something you can’t put your finger on float into the room as if to warn those what lays ahead. The floor vibrates, and a distant roaring can be heard on occasion. Likely fans stomping and cheering for some gruesome kill.

      ·         A derelict apartment complex

When you first enter the derelict apartment, you notice that it has been overrun by one of the Coruscant’s many underworld gangs.  The gang symbol of the Raptors painted on every visible space, with their members from Humans, Biths and others prowl the trash filled hallways, and protecting their merchandise from the highly potent spice, to the different slaves they use to attract potential customers of all sorts. Past the dangerous men, you notice a single door that is opened and seemingly left untouched for the most part.

      An Abandoned Apartment
As you enter the Abandoned apartment,  the place has defiantly  seen better days. If the decaying smell of filth hasn’t stopped you in the tracts, you would notice a bed on the far side of the room, though it has looked like it hasn’t been used  in centauries and littered with filth and other assortment of night terrors.  Other than that, the room has is covered in filth from  not being cleaned and the kitchen has totally been wrecked from the years of misused. The room mirrors the entire statement of the apartment complex after being taken over by the gang.

Seryb you and (Koolaid) are the man, you’ll find some points on your account for the effort.

Here are some descriptions I’m looking for next –

The bar (in the center of the room)

The VIP Room (like in the top left)

      The Management Suite

This is the picture of the club I’ve been using for reference http://media.desura.com/images/members/1/322/321317/Outlander_Clubs.jpg
