Vendor – Names

I’d like to see vendors that don’t reveal the player’s real name…

This would allow the owner of a store to remain anonymous.

I’d like to be able to perm people who put up 2 million credit vibroblades or buy up tons of shops and try to sell them to people at inflated prices.

It might make more sense though if the shop owner name was only visible to members of the planet’s owning government. Similar to how you’d need to ask a store employee or go look up the property owner’s name in government records IRL.

I would like to think that on more chaotic planets like Tatooine and Nal Hutta the government wouldn’t always know these types of things, but we could probably agree that the name of a shop owner wouldn’t always be public knowledge atleast.

So basically you want to be an asshat with your shops and are mad because it might have consequences?

This is a valid point I think. Look at it this way. Lets say I buy a shop and it says my characters name: Sifer, and I end up leading the Empire. The Rebellion walks into my shop and notices that I own it, as well as know I am the leader of the Empire. They notice the shop continues to be restocked so obviously I am travelling to it to collect money/add items. All they have to do is camp a shop to capture/kill me. No real skill/thought involved.

It’s never happened to me at the same time, so maybe that isn’t much of a concern but just food for thought.

Maybe the Emperor shouldn’t be running a shop?

Maybe he should fucking take some guards with him?

There’s way more easily abused, less sensible things out there. Why is -this- one the one that gives you morons a stiffy?
