So I’m unsure if this concept has been posted before, I’m sure somewhere along the way it has. However, I was pondering over what I’ve heard of the "crime" coded things….and I’m playing Assassin’s Creed II….and the idea came together…
Give clans that own planets, the ability to upgrade the planet to have certain things.
Example: For 1,000,000 credits, the clan can open a bar and all the "profits" go straight to the clan
For 5,000,000 credits, the clan can open a store (Engineering or whatever) and the profits go to the clan
For 10,000,000 credits the clan can have a pawn shop…
etc etc etc
Of course the prices would have to be thought out and whatever I just posted is just random for the idea itself.
And then the idea comes in that once they lose that planet, the upgrades would go to whoever has taken over.

It’s nice in theory, but why spend that much money to buy things that regular people can get for cheaper, right.
Instead of shops, and bars maybe it should pertain to exclusive new clan bought areas like..
A gladiator arena – Where clans can host PVP for entry fees, or have coded mobs that can be generated to duke it out with each other. Betting, etc.
Casinos – With lots of games to win or lose credits, profits go to the clan.
You could even go as far as having what buildings the clan chooses to build affect the atmosphere of a planet. A planet leader who builds daycare centers all around will probably have a clean healthier planet than the hutt building barracks for security boosts, and casinos or spice houses for easy cash.
