I was thinking, about how to try and cut down on mis channels, what would people think about changing the channels command so you could do somthing like "channel +clan incomming or if nothing is placed it would do like normal and both send and receave" so that you would receave the same message you get if the channel was off when trying to send somtihng on that channel, but you could still see thing that are incomming. It would make it nicer for the people that want to see things going on, but may not want to respond and accdently send somthing they did not mean to send.

I would like to know what people think or if they have any improvements, thanks.

… what? Sorry, but I just don’t understand what you’re saying here.

Ok well now that I know people do not quite understand what I mean I will try and make it simpler. I wanted to know what people thought of having a way to allow any communications like things on the clan channel, or the talk channel, or any channel, to be seen only, but if you try to send a message on those channels you would get a message like the one you get if you have that channel off. The problem now is that you have to have the channel on, or off, there is no middle ground where you can see what people are saying but not be able to respond. You only have the option of seeing what people say, and then acdently sending somthing on that channel, or not seeing what they say and not be able to send on that channel. I hope that makes it a little clearer, if not I would like to know.

Ah, I think I understand now. You’re suggesting basically having a / modifier to the chan command.
i.e. what we have now is "chan +/- clan"
      What you’re suggesting is:
      "chan +/- <clan/talk> [<listen/talk>]"
which would return "You’re only listening to that channel" when you accidentally type it. Am I right?
Well, if I understand the idea you’re suggesting right, I like it ^.^

Yes you hit it on the nose, I just thought it would help cut down on mis channels but still allow you to hear what is going on.

      What I am suggesting is:
      "chan +/- <chan/listen> [<listen>]"

      but if you just choose:
"chan +/- <chan> with nothing else, you get the default setting."

      I am glade I could help make it understood thow, feed back always helps <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>

Bump for coolness, never liked failsauceness mistakes affecting rp even if they do sometimes help and/or cause epic lulz.

If you can’t type one sentence without making such a silly mistake. The mischans are only teaching you a harsh lesson in life.
