Some of us missed the OOC brainstorming about combat training, so I figured we could start a thread. Here are my quick thoughts.
I have a character that is level 70 of 150 combat. I’m killing sarlaac tentacles for 0 exp a pop. Something is wrong here.
Same character, kill a level 10 droid in the gym for 0 exp. Something is wrong here.
As for training other people in combat, why not let it give a minor boost based on their leadership levels. However, leave the power training of old to the leadership/combat mains?

Is this still happening even with the March 16 change?
Either way, there isn’t something inherently wrong with getting no experience from level 10 droids at some point.

This is still an issue. There really wasn’t any brainstorming – more or less me asking what was wrong with a bit more detail. Like, did you try to level this character before the Mar 16 fix? Are you group leveling or solo leveling?
Currently, I have a decent idea of what is wrong, but I need more information. It’s beyond me to know exactly what went wrong, considering I touched on aspect off combat and then quickly removed it when I realized the implications. One of the problems in bug fixing is that sometimes it breaks what the playerbase is used to.
So if you can give me more info about what’s going on that’d be great. I am actively working on this and hopefully will have it fixed in the next 24 hours.
I apologize for the delay on this, sometimes these bugs evade us.

Today another player tried to train my combat, with me following him. With a level one drone, I was getting roughly 100 experience for a few rounds, but it quickly sank to 50. He then switched and followed me, and for a little while I was getting decent exp.. I couldn’t say how much per level, because he kept switching drone levels, but again, it sank to 50 in about a minute, maybe less. I occasionally got a small burst of 500-1000, but it’d only last for a drone or two.
I didn’t try leveling at all between when it originally broke and the recent fix, so I’m not sure how that compares. But that’s all the info I have.

This doesn’t have much to do with leveling, but I thought it was funny how you can gouge and blind people through helmets.

Yes, its still broken. The only thing I haven’t done is try it WITH a leadership main….however, one should be able to level themselves over time…and if you’re killing one of the most badass things in the game and only getting 1 or 0xp, something is broken.

Well, what I mean is when you go back to level more – does it start high and drop to 0 really quickly? Or is it still just at zero?

If you haven’t fought anything in quite some time (like 10-15 mins or more), the very first thing you kill will give decent XP and it instantly drops by like 3/4’s then drops to 1 or 0xp

Actually, I noticed that with slicer skills. Most slicer skills that give any kind of exp give it in only miniscule amounts.

Yeah makecamera gives XP, its the only one that does….and it gives 6000 experience per use…and takes 60 seconds…and a whole lot of credits…so for about 50,000 credits I could gain 2 levels.
