I went through 150 or so of the most recent player submissions, and here are some of the best that don’t already have a thread on the forum.

This is a phenomonal idea for rp and clan heads to check the status of their
organization:clanstatus
It would give a list of all logged members currently when used ‘clanstatus
list’
and everytime you log on, you would ‘clanstatus <whatever you’re doing ex.
"Studying on Corellia" or "Post Guard wherever">’I think if you asked clanleaders how they felt about keeping better track of
clanmembers, then they would be optimistic about the idea
of keeping track of rambunctious clanmates. Also, so they can’t ignore orders:Say if a superior ordered a trooper to guard Coruscant Spaceport for lookout of
any
suspicious activity, and then he decides to go to Lorrd and get armor and
poot around, well the whole clan or whoever is entitle to view clanstatus
could check clanstatus, see that he’s on, then check his post, and if he’s
there, merit him for a good job or whatever, and if he’s not there, then
scold him for not following orders and possibly a demerit or something. It could look something like…
clanstatus whoWho | Assignment
Goopta | Post Guard on Coruscant Spaceport (Ordered: Captain Blobby)
Mary | Republic Workshop filling orders (Ordered: Blah blah
senior engineer)Just a thought, but I thought it would definitely enhance gameplay.[/quote:128sjkbt]
[quote:128sjkbt]
When a shop is taken by force from you via a diplomat, you should have your
vendor license returned as the vendor should be loyal to you. Also, the gold
the vendor had at the time should be returned as well.
[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]Falleens should have a command to allow them to change skin color at will. I’m
sure there are other races this would be applicable to, but Falleen are the
ones that stick out in my head at the moment, for obvious reasons. <3[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]Make syringes have the (full) (empty) tag when held.[/quote:128sjkbt]
[quote:128sjkbt]Currently: Currently anyone granted the ability to use clan owned ships are not
allowed to Buy/sell Cargo aboard that veesel. Proposal: Allow persons granted
"pilot" for clans be allowed to buy/sell cargo on clan ships "AND" a
"percentage" that is set by the clan leader be taken from the sale and put into
clan funds. This would make tracking your employees records a bit easier and
more honest. Rather than waiting for your clan mates to donate the credits.[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]
I think that stuff like the carapace and laish gear and things that hunters and
combatants really do rely on since it helps in combat should be layered like
leather so you can still wear pertty custom clothing so not everyone is running
around with the same appearances yuo know? <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="
" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –> Make it so we can still have our
stuff but actually look unique apart[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]CLOSEVIEWPORT – When landed on a crowded pad, it is really annoying when the
pad stuff scrolls your screen. CLOSEVIEWPORT would solve this problem. When
closed, it could display:Through the transparisteel windows you see:
The viewport is closed.[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]
When your "sneak" skilltimer runs out of rounds, have a message that says "You
grow tired of sneaking around."
[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]Please make it so that instead of typing think up with the think command, just
typing think opens up a buffer and allows you to set it so you can modify it
that way.[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]
Maybe there can be a smuggling skill where smugglers can actually smuggle. I
don’t mean the usual selling spice, but -smuggling- smuggling. The idea is
simple: Evading taxes while selling cargo. Since this would hurt economies, it
can be a high-level skill. Just an idea! So simple but so smugglerish!
[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]Similar to how vendors have the owner written on them when you look at them,
datachips could have the author written on them when you look at them.
[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]I think it would be neat to have a new skill category filled with
‘inconsquential’ skills. Skills such as the abiity to play musical instruments
or sing, or play certain sports or card games, and the ability to create art. I
think this kind of coding, if possible, could add a lot to the RP of the game.

[quote:128sjkbt]Commshield flag- DON’T block OOC channels, DO block talk. (same with sleeping)

[quote:128sjkbt]
This is an idea for a HUD enabled helmet, and a new squad system. Basically,
the squad system would replace ‘group’. Members of a squad could then wear a
HUD enabled helmet, getting a message for when each member goes on or offline
by wearing or removing the helmet. While in the squad, and wearing the helmet,
each member types a command and can see the health of all other ‘online’
members, aswell as a track-like direction to them if they aren’t in the same
room.
The Squad should also get its own channel, that only it can hear and speak
into.[/quote:128sjkbt]

Examine <container> should show how full it is. IE, 50/80 full, etc.
[/quote:128sjkbt]
[quote:128sjkbt]When someone sends you a tell, display whether they sent it to your character name or account name. Keep jerks like valens from sniffing out account names.
[/quote:128sjkbt][quote:128sjkbt]new channel: ally
anyone in a clan has access to this channel, and it can be heard by anyone in
their clan, and any allied clans.[/quote:128sjkbt]

[/quote:38uu74yz]I really like this one, but maybe instead of it being leveled based, you can only pick a couple. And it could be made to be based statistically. For example, to play an instrument, you would need a certain amount of dexterity and intelligence. To paint, you’d need the same, of course it’d be different requirements. OR you could just have a bunch listed and just pick from the list ala the featlist.

Seconded! Though, someone willing to waste all their time on it should be able to learn everything. It’d be cool to see an artist/musician and that’s /all/ they are…

ahem….I had a chef/musician who just sat in starports and sang all day for spare change….I just wrote scripts for it, and no coding was really required. I think if things like ‘sing’ were coded in, it would actually lose flavor, as you would probably have generic strings for singing and such. The instruments that are already in play are an excellent start, though.

It really wouldn’t be that hard to do, either. Just add in another layer of material. Makearmor already is material-independent, and unless builders go out of their way to add in equipment for that layer and bugger it up (short of maybe claneq?), it would be relatively hard to mess with.
Well, unless there are more "all layers" items still floating around than I remember. Those [b:fibnaxxe]would[/b:fibnaxxe] have to be changed, but there can’t be all too many.
