[quote:f3lrz799]Doesn’t work…You might get 1 store closed if you yourself plan on opening it..one out of about 30 that need closed…and thats after a couple of weeks of asking. Its always on the agenda of things to do, but never actually gets done. Its a backburner project that most people would rather just do something else, and that something else being nothing. Honestly, I think its the fact that they have to travel to the planet itself to check the stores…then try to contact the people..then wait…then go check to see if something was done.[/quote:f3lrz799]

I’m one of the biggest advocates of "harass governing clans to do it" and when I say harass, I do mean it. I’m not talking about trolling or anything obnoxious. But if you ask and they don’t solve the situation, escalate. Start being loud. Organize boycotts. Air broadcasts about them strangling capitalism.

You’re right when you say it’s a backburner project. It’s the pbase’s responsibility to make it a priority… to a point. That being said, every once and a while I’ll go through and clear out inactive shops.

[quote:f3lrz799]There should also be a limit on how many stores a player can either A) own….or B) own per planet….I’m freaking sick of seeing 5 stores open on a planet, all by the same player…all holding the same shit that nobody wants…you could have easily put all that stuff in the same store…especially the 1 item you have in the majority of the stores.[/quote:f3lrz799]

Yeah. Nothing is more obnoxious than seeing a player own 2 or 3 shops on Lorrd, with one specializing in datapads, one in comlinks, and one in quest items. This is another thing players should push governing clans to do. It’s getting too late for this now, but I think this would be especially effective in the Republic era when you can petition your senator and stuff.

The other option is to beat the crap out of the *pshop owners until they stop doing it!

Constant micromanagement is a bit much… especially if people are still getting a feel for leadplanet. While I will admit that it is not all that complicated, needlessly making it complicated will only serve to piss a bunch of people off and ensure that the only people becoming Senators/Planet Leaders are those who would understand it in depth (i.e. same douchebags becoming Senators/Planet Leaders).

Back to the subject matter though, Planet Leaders/Senators really do need to stay on top of the stores.[/quote:30fgcwsc]

That’s kind of like saying I want to be a coder but I don’t want to learn any languages.

Or my favorite: I want to be a computer scientist but I don’t want to take logic courses.

No, there shouldn’t be a limit on how many pshops one can own. The GOVERNMENT should limit it.. but I liked being able to have a restaraunt and a datastore too.

Multiple shops per person doesn’t concern me, it’s the lack of activity or shops that were all the same that was irritating.

      Walldo:

The problem with that was, the Mandalorians didn’t care. Those kind of clans rarely do.

I don’t mind multiple shops either until said multi-shop owner goes on a two month vacation and no one does anything about it. But then again, that falls back on planet leaders, not the Immortals. If planet leaders aren’t doing their job, do something about it ICly.
