      Syntax: contact <account name>

      Puts you in a buffer allowing staff member (RPC or imm) to write a message. The account that message goes is sent to will get a big message after MOTD showing whatever the staff member said. They’d then have to type in a random number (similar to the MOTD login thing) to proceed.

      I just think it’d be a handy tool as far as RPC investigations or any other number of situations where staff members need to get a hold of a player who isn’t online.

      EXAMPLE:

      Newbie ‘Oh man I got permed by Smasher!’
      RPC Member ‘crap smasher isn’t around’
      RPC member contact @smasher
      You have been involved with an illegal perm. Please contact me (RPC Member) as soon as possible. E-mail any logs you have of the situation to <!– e –><a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a><!– e –>

      What if I sent you the code, Rojan? How about that? &gt;.&gt;

      Feel free. <!– e –><a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a><!– e –>
      Disclaimer: By sending me your code to be possibly included in LotJ, you are granting us free use of it in the game (not to release it). It need not be exclusive to LotJ (you can still release it), but you are giving us full access to use it and not remove it at any point in time <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –>

      As long as you don’t claim it’s yours. I’ll try whip something up next time I got a day or two off work.

      No, I wont. You’ll get full credit for you. Basically I’m just saying that by giving it to us you’re allowing us to use it indefinitely. Just to avoid a situation where someone sends code and then says &quot;omg, you stole my code&quot;

      Awesome idea, but I have one minor problem: don’t put the whole &quot;you have been involved in an illegal perm&quot; thing. For one, not everything the RPC would need to contact someone for involves an illegal perm. Secondly, if a perm is overturned (the character is restored), then, yes, the perm was illegal; however, not all perms are overturned, and thus, not all perms the RPC vote on are illegal. <!– s;-) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!– s;-) –>

      Another useful tidbit would be to be able to send a message using a character’s name to every character on that account, because RPC members don’t have a way of finding out accounts from a character’s name (though they have their ways of finding characters names from an account name), and the imms don’t generally like to share around who plays who.
