Skill (Slicer?/Engy?) remote_droid

remote_droid would be a fairly high level slicer and/or engy skill where you would essentially use a datapad to control your droids movement/actions from afar. Here is a list of ideas for commands:

Commands: remote_droid <command>
– look (see the room your droid is in, and those in it)
– open <arg>
– close <arg>
– enter
– leave
– n,s,e,w, etc. (directional commands)

I had thought more intricate commands might be added if it seems like a good idea, but I’m not sure how viable this is code-wise. It seemed to make more sense to make it a high level command in engy/slicer so our combatants and other mains don’t have uber droid scouts they can send out. “Droid scouting” would fall into the hands of slicers and/or engineers.

Anyways, I’m not going to get into it too deeply. Let me know what you think.

Note: This should be restricted to intra-planetary usage. If you’re on Naboo you can control your droid if it’s on Naboo. If your droid is on Coruscant and you’re on Naboo it sucks to be you.

I think it’s interesting but it should also not be usable from inside ships. Need to have your feet firmly on the ground.

-move a droid around and use the look command? you need 50 BH (droid scout!) or X espionage (droid spy) or X engineer or X slicer (bombsquad sorta deal)
-have a droid enter/leave? you need X BH or X engineer or etc etcetc
-have a droid remotely pickup/drop somthing? you need X BH or X class or etc etcetc.
-have a droid remotely short doors or hack lifts? you need X bh or Y slicer, or etc etc

Perhaps also have various types of remote droids. Ones flagged with sneak (scout droids), ones flagged with hide (espi droids), one that is a minesweeper, etc for certain tasks.
