Just throwing this out there, but could we make setleader an empowerment instead of having it as just something usable by the leader, number 1 and number 2? It would make sense to be able to have diplomats change this on a whim, and it seems (and forgive me if this comes off as arrogant) like a menial task to have clanleaders running around the Galaxy to do.

Anyways… just a thought. Feel free to tear me up.

Honestly, having it as an empowerment could cause issue (having someone go idle for a long period of time and reappear, leaving 2 leaders to a planet/sector). Instead of having to be on the planet, perhaps make setleader an arguable command. Example: setleader <target> <planet>

Going along with this, I think showplanet should show the planet leader. And when setleader is applied to someone, it should be echo’d throughout the MUD, much like war, peace, succeed, etc. Sorry, got a bit off topic.

Very good ideas – though gotta say I see more sense as it still being a leader/first/second command than just an empowerment.

I will add making it doable anywhere (so long as you control the planet, obviously) and echoing like overthrow to the to-do list.

      Cheers,
      Ralen

Thanks for the quick response, Ral-Pal! I am content with the compromise. 🙂
