Since it’s rude to derail a thread just to discuss something completely different, here’s a thread to talk about the possibilities for finding ships in orbit. So far we’ve got:

      – Look
      – Seeing blockades on showplanet/etc.

      GO FOR IT PEOPLE.

I was about to say I really like the idea of blockade showing up on showplanet, but suddenly i remembered – a big part of blockading is the initial element of surprise before the first news broadcast.

Now that GNI has been tuned back up to its original level rather than the "only broadcast once every 3rd weekend of the month" code fuckery it received a while back, it should serve as warning enough.

Blockade warnings only seem to fire after the blockade is listed.

Because most people abandon blockades at the GNI announcement.

I prefered the old style when it gave the global echo "Such and such a clan is blockading planet X!"
News should travel faster than what GNI is capable of. Due to our player v area numbers actual word of mouth is so stacked that battlegroups will come, bomb some place and be back at base for 2 hours before anything is mentioned.
