I know engis have an overabundance of fun things to do already, and this wouldn’t even be meant for this TL but I figure it’s good to get the idea out there in advance so imms can toy around with it. I’d like to see salvage yards implemented. Basically, whenever a ship is destroyed it’s wrecked and added to the list of salvage ships, then someone can come along later and "restore" it, at a penalty to their quota. I think it’d help keep old models in circulation, give people things to fight over, etc. And it’d be good for clans who need capships but don’t have access to blueprints and things.

We have way too many ships as it is in my opinion.

I’m not sure if I’d be into allowing people to just restore them, even though its logical, but what about just letting people salvage those ships for parts?

      That’d be remotely doable.

You could even expand on it to add more features/consequences. When a small ship is blown up in orbit, there’s an X% that certain pieces would make it through and land somewhere on the planet and could then be scavenged for parts. The bigger the ship, the higher the % goes up and the more parts available. You could even add in a chance to get randomly caught up in said flaming pile of junk as it crashes into the ground haha

trash taxis owned by dead people[/quote:f1cdyn5m]

I agree with him, there’s to many taxi’s out there with dead owners, it should be set like normal ships when you die you lose the Taxis too.

      Believe it or not, QFT.

This would cut down on an shit-ton of ship spam, owned by defunct clans or dead people. If there were a way to do this, it would probably make many people very happy.

I cut it down in half or so. The problem is, a lot of those crappy taxis are from characters that are still alive <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –>
