      I’ve noticed this..Sabotage doesn’t allow one to sabotage the hyperdrive of a ship. We’d need to make it so ship maintenance supports the repairing of hyperdrives too, but it still seems easy to add.

      If you bleed the fuel they don’t even make it into space tho, let alone have fuel to perform a hyperjump <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!– s:) –>

      Eh, I’m talking disabling hyperdrive completely. They did it in the movies like 40 times…Or was that as many times as I’ve watched them..Either way, it’s still a decent idea.

      Well, I agree that it is a good idea. It could be super fun to chase someone, let them launch and calculate only to realize that they’re being targetted and a red text blinks saying &quot;HYPERDRIVE DISABLED!&quot;

      Use Ion cannons.

      Ion cannons are NOT a reliable or effective way of stopping a ship, but I’m sure you already knew that.

      While on the subject of Sabotage, I whole heartedly support sabotaging the hyperdrive. It would indeed be amusing to have them attempt an escape, only to find it crap out on them (aka the Millenium Falcon).

      But moving on to my other idea, why the hell don’t you have to use any tools or parts to repair the ship? Sabotaged the fuel? Should need some new durasteel to repair the fuel lines using a hydrospanner. Drive is disabled? Should need new circuits to re-route power and a toolkit to fine tune the wiring. Wepons disabled? Same thing with the fuel, need new tubing and a hydrospanner to repair as well as circuits to re route power back to the weapons systems. Etc etc and so on and so on.

      On the flip side, you should require a weapon or at least a toolkit to sabotage a ship. A fusion cutter to cut fuel. A vibro to stick into the circuits and disabling the drive. A blaster bolt right through the hyperdrive unit to disable it. Etc etc and so on and so on.

      Those are great ideas. I wondered that too.
