      I was wondering, how do you guys decide when to switch eras and what era you’re going to place the the time-line in?

      And maybe if you can hint at what/when you’re going to switch from this one…

      Thanks

      I can’t really give you the official answer, because I’m not sure what that’d be, but from what I can tell, this is what generally happens…

      Old Republic —-> Imperial Era

      > New Republic

      > Old Republic

      > Imperial Era

      > New Republic

      > Etc..

      Each era lasts "several months" meaning it can be 4 months, 6 months, 9 months….whatever. Its really relevant to whats going on with the story in game…How players are reacting to stuff, interacting with clans, wars and so on… This current era, Era 3, I believe..has been going since June 08? And if I recall correctly, Era 2 started in November 07….But Era 1 lasted from like..Feb 07 (at least thats when I started and it was already going) to Oct 07. So….At least 9 months..then 8 months for Era 2…and goin into month 3 of Era 3…

      Hope that helps some

      Yeah, era 1 was from march 1st to november, which is pretty much too long. Just like previously stated, much depends on how players play the era. Usually eras change with style, basically meaning that there will be a big war or an event that will turn the page. These are called EoE, which stands for End of Era, the whole event thingie.

      Also, the basic timeline goes OR – Empire and Rebellion (Rebellion usually doesn’t exist in the beginning of the era) – NR, but then there can be a minitimeline such as the one we had in 2006 and 2007, CIS was there and Empire and whatnot. It really depends on what players do and how hard Imms fail/don’t. <!– s:D –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!– s:D –>

      We need to blow up more planets…

      Granted, the CS Era had a bunch of stuff that made people cringe (namely Neru Bas), but having an all-powerful dark sider ripping cores out of planets and hurling space stations into planets just made me stop and think, &quot;Hey that was cool.&quot;

      Perhaps something to keep in mind for future EoEs would be planet devastations…not necessarily by dark siders, but just in general.

      I personally loved the destruction of Coruscant

      Is the ‘Old Republic era’ supposed to take place around the time of Episode 1 and the like or is it from back during the time of KotOR?

      It’s really hard to say when era one is &quot;supposed&quot; to be since we don’t follow canon.

      I think the best answer is that it’s generally a hybrid of events; this past era 1 saw Sith and Mandalorian wars, but also a war with clone soldiers and droids.

      Dont forget the Taung, The Lorellian raiders, and the start of the Fap Fap Fapan consortium.
