So I was just kind of thinking to myself that it is kind of unrealistic to see a corpse of someone you didn’t know at all (greet, dub) and automatically know who they are after they die.

What I was thinking was that it would be a little more realistic to have player corpses set up in this way:

      If Greeted:
The corpse of <Greet Name> lies here.
Example: The corpse of Hari lies here.

      If Dubbed:
The corpse of <Dub Name> lies here.
Example: The corpse of Jawaforcer lies here.

      If Neither:
The corpse of <Race> <Gender> lies here.
Example: The corpse of a Jawa Male lies here.

I’m not too sure how difficult this would be to code, but it would be more realistic than always hearing "Did anyone know a Hari? He just committed suicide in the Plaza." <—-to which I would be too tempted to respond, "No and apparently neither did you if you are asking."

YES. Because it is soooooooooooo frustrating when I hear "There’s a body in the plaza." "What race is it?" "…I have no idea."

Having it always display "The corpse of a [race] [gender] lies here" would be alright too. Then if you examine the corpse it could say something like "The body’s ID tag reads: Hari". Then the code wouldn’t need to distinguish between those who knew him and those who didn’t. …Of course that still brings up the problem of not recognizing somebody you dubbed. But if applying dubs to a corpse is too convoluted then it’d still be a step in the right direction, I think.

The general consensus of "check his wallet for ID" "Oh hai it’s this guy" is fine by me. It would be nice if it showed race/sex though.

I like it – but there are many problems I see from a code perspective. Something to stew over.
