Precision as it stands is only useful for turrets, why not change it so its actually precise? Instead of giving you a 15% chance to hit targets, how about the ability to specifically target parts of the ship? Still requires a turret, but instead of target MC80 and then spamming fire or fire ions, you could target a ships launchers? Or their thrusters? I mean, ship combat is pretty boring, you’re just spamming commands, so why not add something to up the ante? Obviously you can’t do a precision strike on a ship from the command deck, but if you have a manned ship and someone at a turret with precision, they probably could.

Might also make smaller ships viable. Like a battlegroup of X-wings. A PRECISION STRIKE.
An exhaust port two meters wide.
One proton torpedo.
