“Pazaak, an ancient game dating back to Old Republic times, was a popular card game in which the goal was to reach 20 without going over, or at least come closer to it than the opponent. The player with the nearest sum to the number 20 won the round, and the player who won three rounds won the match. If in one round the scores of the two players were equal, the round was not counted at all.” – Wookieepedia
Basically it’s blackjack. We could set up tables of these at bars where two people can engage through a pazaak command. Each player decides on the same credit bet and then is dealt a number and can choose to hit or stay respectively until one of them either reaches or goes over 20. Winner gets the combined credits.
Would this be hard to code? I’d like to see it, and more gambling games if possible.

Honestly, Pazaak and Sabacc are ideally the same thing. Only difference being Sabacc the goal is 23 and you can have such things as the Idiots Array or have a -23 to win.

I think either of these options would be pretty cool to have in the game. It allows the players to interact more and could be cool if players could get into gambling debt from each other. Then BHers would be utilized more possibly, and high stakes gambling could occur by people that have to many credits.

One time many, many moons ago some guy wrote us a code snippet for pazaak, swoop bets, a dice game, and slot machines. It didn’t compile clean at all into our code but I will see if I can find it and get it working!

A clan run casino would be pretty awesome. Like, if there was a way to make it so that machines were connected to the clan fund. Would be interesting I think. Also, bars with pazaak games as attractions and stuff would be pretty cool too.
