I remember when this was all there was, when Datapads were completely useless, except for slicing skills and espionage skills.
I was excited, when the datamem code went in, and still use it to this day, and was glad that Note Write and all it’s sister commands were removed(Except those for posting/removing messages from boards), inplace for Datamem. Now, for some odd reason. This command is active, when I know it was disabled after the datamem code went in. I’ve spoken with Walldo about it, and he says that the command bugs him as well.
It’s annoying, really, I mean where the hell is the disk coming from? And I swear if someone gives me a stupid answer, I’m giving them a rude response. I’m asking a serious question, what’s the point of it? When we have datapads. In all of the games, and books. They had datapads. Datapads are the Star Wars Equivelent to our PDAs, and for slicing skills.
Someone, anyone, explain to me, what the point of having Note Write, is when we have Datamem?

I think there isn’t a point as much as pulling code doesn’t always work as easy as people think. You can’t just grab a block of lines and yank it out a lot of times. Most likely the code my still be there because nobody has taken the time to go through and manually remove it.

Note write was never REMOVED. It was merely restricted to 101+… now, it’s back to normal. My guess? That "oops, gotta pwipe" incident put it back.
