Hi!

What new races would you like to see added to the LotJ mix? I skimmed Wookieepedia and took suggestions on OOC and here’s a dirty list of races we don’t have that might be good to add: Ugnaught, Ewok, Anzat, Chadra-Fan, Gotal, Bimm, Ranat, Shistavanen, Ishi Tib, Kitonak, Klatooinian, Snivvian, Coruscanti, Nikto, Anx, Clawdite, Mustafarian, Dresselian, Ortolan, Polis Massan, Selkath.

Post some level spreads in this thread and the best will be taken, tweaked, and included in the new timeline.

*UPDATE AS OF 15 FEBRUARY*
The races we have currently stat’d out in this thread are:
Kiffar
Anzat
Mirialan
Umbaran
Skakoan
Nosaurian
Fosh
Herglic
Anx
Ruurian
Vratix[/color:3nf9wrbn]

Confirmed races for this coming TL:
Mirialan[/color:3nf9wrbn]

Most of those would be cool, but is "Coruscanti" really worth separating into a specific race? Coruscant is filled with such eclectic people, I always considered them the baseline human.

I’ve been working on a rough outline for Kiffar as well.

Oteri, they have Corellian and Lorrdian and Alderaan as their own special kind of human… Coruscanti people would be, say, business-oriented and whatnot, just like how Corellians are smuggler-piloty-espionage-y oriented and Alderaanians are good diplomats and engineers.

Protocol droids would be awesome. Sure, astromechs are shiny, but protocol droids are where it’s at! >:3

Coruscanti
Affected by: Silly english accent

And I was thinking of droids. There should just be one big umbrella race for droids, but depending on what main they pick it should give a different layout entirely. Different hp, different stats, different level ranges… that’s probably pretty impossible to do, but eh.

Locksharp- Gee thanks. I’d have never put that together. Good thing we still have that Industrial class that science totally didn’t replace.

…That sounds an awful lot like race selection to me.

So…I took a look at Anzat and I think that IF we add them in, they should absolutely be one of the few races that are strictly app-only, when not era specific. They’re literally considered as legends made up to scare children, and they basically live to eat brains or something.

RACE: Anzat
Str Plus: 0 Dex Plus: 1 Wis Plus: 0 Int Plus: 2
Con Plus: 0 Cha Plus: -3 Lck Plus: 0
Hit Pts: 1200 AC Mod: 0 Frc Plus: 0
Price: 0 Deposit: 0 App Only: Yes
Default Language: Anzat
Possible Skincolors:
Grey, Dark Cyan?
Affected by: none
combat Modifier: +20
piloting Modifier: -10
engineering Modifier: +0
bounty hunting Modifier: 20
smuggling Modifier: +50
diplomacy Modifier: -20
leadership Modifier: -20
espionage Modifier: +30
slicer Modifier: +10
medical Modifier: +15
science Modifier: +0

Anzat are considered patient, silent hunters. With that in mind, I gave them relatively small bonuses to combat and bh’ing, plus large boosts to smuggling and espionage due to the fact they’re supposed to be very, very stealthy. I gave them a few of the other numbers just to balance them out somewhat, but they’re one of those races that aren’t really supposed to be balancing. They’re supposed to kill your shit and be gone.

I’ve always thought of the baseline humans encompassing Humans from Coruscant, Ord Mantell, etc.

Corellians and Alderaanians are different enough in their societies from baseline humans that they kinda deserve their own race.

As for Lorrdians, they are considered near-humans. So there’s a genetic drift there that actually warrants their separation from the basline human stock.

RACE: Mirialan

(22) reddish brown (23) yellow

Another Force attuned race, but most times will turn out to be almost nothing but a minor connection and no major abilities. Known as fast and agile warriors, these near-humans also have some notable mercenaries, assassins, smugglers, pirates, terrorists, and minor political figures. Skill colors range from blue, green, orange, and some paler skin tones. Given the level spread, they should cost points and possibly app only if people start rolling too many of them.

Umbaran are secretive, manipulative and inscrutable beings who crave power and influence. They are masters of obfuscation and misdirection, seldom revealing their true thoughts. They have a dark sense of humor that occasionally manifests in social situations.

I suggest a moderately high point cost for these guys in exchange for app-only. They are very roleplay intensive, and very un-human. They also require specific pressure suit armor that can’t be removed on pain of death…literally.

Otherwise, Skakoans are cool, calculating and humorless beings with a strong sense of self-preservation. Few have the courage to leave their homeworld. They rely on logic to solve problems, regardless of whether they are plotting a galactic war or designing an efficient hyperdrive. Skakoans are usually encountered wearing their pressure suits, which they use to hide their emotions, leading many to presume that Skakoans are heartless automatons. In truth, they possess a full range of emotions.
