So, I’ve been thinking. There are times when it’s extremely hard to figure a way to ask something ICly. For example, asking for quests over the public channel, or asking for ways to train stats. So I propose a new help file or an addition to help newbie that lists words and example questions.

      For example:
When you ask for a quest over public channels, call it a job.
      Example: "Where are science jobs?"

When you want to reference your ability levels, call your current ability level your GAT and your maximum your Potential.
Example: "I have a GAT of 30 on my combat with a potential of 66."

I think this will help newbies a lot in the long run. One, we all, newbies and old players alike, now have commonly accepted words for certain things so that we all know what each other is talking about. Two, Newbies no longer have to rack their brain for ways to ask about quests and other things on public ICly. Three, we old players no longer have to guess at their Quest Tier levels.

I know that one of my biggest things has always been how to ask common, important questions in an IC way.

      "How’s your combat training, recruit?"
"Sir, I believe I can kick your ass now, sir!"

On a more serious note, people usually use these things on a regular basis already and newbies usually catch on pretty quick or ask on OSAY what people mean by GAT or whatnot. People are usually pretty good about informing them what the current IC translations for this OOC information entails. I’ve kind of viewed at least the GAT thing to be a fine line between OOC/IC information, but it never crossed it in my opinion because it kind of made sense and made it easier to gauge someone’s aptitude for a particular class.

G.A.T and jobs are totally okay by me,
what really bothers me when there is no sense at all in the statements,
      for example:

"Here, wear this belt made out of rat skin around your waist"

      "Umm, why?"

      "It helps your aim."

      "How?"

      "Look… it just does."

Didn’t one of the Marazzo comics have something to do with stat-boosting bunny ears or something?

"Its a new kind of weightlifting belt recommended by the physiotherapist galaxy wide. It supports your body and decreases exertion in your back allowing longer aiming with that heavy repeater of yours."
