I was thinking something like this, a forcer skill called "[b:33wadp6b]Hide Presence[/b:33wadp6b]". It would work sorta like this, it would hide your force presence if anyone’s looking for you but as you use it it’ll drain FP’s let’s say 75 FP’s every 3 sec or something, I was thinking it for a light sided skill since the darkies already have more then they deserve and it’ll give the light forcers an element of surprise, even though they’d have even less FP’s to use but that’s a risk they’d take, use the FP’s to get a surprise attack or don’t use the FP’s and posisbly be noticed and be ambushed, i don’t know what peopel think fo this just an idea.

I say make it a passive skill at level 120 or so.

I disagree, if anything this should be on the dark side tree, Palpatine anyone…

That being said with it having a drain on fp’s i’d say make it available to both sides but atleast 101+ force level requirement as i doubt it’d be very easy to hide your own essence <!– s:P –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!– s:P –>

From EVERYTHING I’ve read and seen, Palpatine didn’t have any stealth hax; he hid like Yoda did… finding a large concentration of the opposite side of the spectrum, and using it to overwhelm his presence.

Now, then… as for actual force stealth: there are three kinds, really.
One is the historical method of &quot;drawing inward&quot; (dampening your own connection to the force). It’s effective against people less powerful in the force than you, but can be bashed through if they know where you are, et al, and doesn’t hide you from non-forcers.
Second kind is LotJ’s: hiding from NON-forcers; this is an illusion, and shouldn’t hide you from forcers AT ALL… in fact, you’d be easier to find to them.
Third kind is Vergere/Jacen: not shutting your force connection off, but tuning it to a level so miniscule that the typical force user doesn’t detect it. Can be countered, but only by someone equally skilled in the technique… force techniques can also be used at this level, but nothing from the &quot;Living Force&quot; (i.e. force lightning, force jump)–typically healing, detection, etc.
In LotJ terms, the best division would be that forcers can hide from non-forcers at level 80 or so (neutral spell, but not nearly as common as LotJ makes it out to be), and they can hide from other forcers (and take away their own ability to use force skills) at 100 or so.

      Where hides Dorkus i wonder?

Hiding yourself from the force via stripping yourself of the force(temporarily) sounds like a half decent pro/con of having a skill like this. More or less it could wipe your fp’s to 0 and they wouldn’t regenerate until it was disabled/enabled(some lengthy laggy process to screw people using it willy nilly). Your passive skills that don’t take fp’s wouldn’t suffer so you’d appear to be an exceptional combatant(until the lightsaber comes out and the truth dawns). Could make for some intresting rp methinks.

      I agree, interesting indeed.

With this being said, I havn’t seen a single forcer in the flesh this period. Or have I? Kudos to those that have it hiding well enough I suppose. Better than in past timelines where they were always just lawling around.
