(OOC) *RenegadeJedi: In a perfect, EU/IRL compliant system, silicon gel could be used to "change" features, keeping you the same race but preventing people from seeing your name/dub, while silicon putty is expensive and can be "set" to a race/sex/str/con/desc.
(OOC) *RenegadeJedi: The "memory" system of disguises is bunk, anyways. There’s no way you’d be able to perfectly replicate something like that without keeping the materials the same.
(OOC) *RenegadeJedi: Silicon gel = making your nose a bit wider, padding your chin, lengthening your ears, etc. Silicon putty = turning the Shield guy into "The Thing" from Fantastic Four.

      I figured this discussion would be about me having disguise on a character for 2 eras now..and suddenly not having it because it was raised 5 levels… <!– s:lol: –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!– s:lol: –>

But yeah…sure I can agree with your statements…even though I think its getting a bit nit picky…Perhaps force people to &quot;create&quot; a disguise that takes the time like makearmor does? And then they have to carry it around or put it in a locker or whatever..and then the gel can be made to just change your features on your race

It should at least include in the helpfile that it takes 348043720974 putty items for one disguise, since one is used for each step.

Could the price of putty perhaps be reduced so that it doesn’t cost over 100k credits to make a full disguise? It’s rather ridiculous that you spend that sort of money, and then have to pay it -again- when a stupid Corellian police officer decides he wants your money for doughnuts.

My system makes more sense. To be able to actually disguise yourself as ANOTHER RACE, you’d need a disguise on the order of the Hulk or &quot; The Thing&quot; (from Fantastic Four). Those took thousands of dollars to design and produce, in addition to taking hours to don/remove/etc. Keep putty the price as it is, but have it add a &quot;disguise&quot; to your inventory once you’ve set it up the way you’d like, then you just don/remove that disguise.

I’d be so much more likely to spend that sort of money if disguises were re-usable. As it is, I’m not sure if I’ll ever use it, even though the new system is so much better. It’s just not worth the cost boost to me.

I was just thinking back to the book ‘Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter’ and I remembered them talking about a ‘holographic image disguiser’ –[url:5gm7a45v]http&#58;//starwars&#46;wikia&#46;com/wiki/Holographic_image_disguiser[/url:5gm7a45v]– That link gives the information on it. I think it would be pretty spiffy to have, I don’t know how hard it would be to code though.

A holographic image disguiser (also known as a holoshroud) was a highly advanced (and very expensive) portable holoprojector that could be used to disguise an existing object or person. A standard model such as the Corellidyne CQ-3.9x holographic image disguiser was small enough to be worn on a belt, though its low memory capacity prohibited it from storing more than a single image, and its power supply was exhausted after only two minutes (unless attached to a larger source).

Code is mostly implace for that but what…New item type. Saves 1 disguise. cost what say 4 or 500k and last 30 rds then it needs a battery?

      Plagiarize much?
As for usage length, I’d say more than 30 rounds; that’s not enough time to RP much, at all. Two minutes worth of RP can take ten or more in real life.

Since I quited the link where I got the info its not Plagiarizing. I posted the description for lazy people who wont click on links. Anyrate. Maybe your right a longer battery life but make them expensive program them and each oe could be carried as 1 disguise. So a player buys it programs it with the disguise skill and carrys it around or sells it. Make the item cost a shit tone so people dont spam keep them.
