Any chance of having message drones recognizes disguises and alias’s?
By this I mean if I am disguised, yet have greeted a person with an alias, I’d like them to be able to send me a message drone under that known alias he was greeted with.
As it stands now, the only way to send a message drone is to use the actual name of character, even when disguised and alias’d as someone else. This would kinda help pull off the whole Hey I’m not giving out my true identity but you can message me a drone as the name I gave you…kinda thing, yes?

I thought you could use your player ID number for mail and drones as well? I’ve never tried it but it should show up on your score list?

Not sure Keb, I’ll have to check on that and see.
That wouldn’t alleviate the issue though I suppose, since eventually people will soon just start knowing who’s ID is what if you use it often.
What I want to accomplish is to be able to use the different persona’s for different purposes and not have to share one ID for them all to receive message drones. IE: I’m Bob, Jack and Tony. I want Person A to send me a message to Tony, and Person B to send me a message to Bob. However if I tell them both to send a message to 12345 eventually, people may catch on (If playerIDs do work for drones)
There should be a check for name’s greeted by, when sending things like this. If I greet someone as Jack, they should then be able to send me a drone as Jack. But the problem is everyone can greet someone as Jack, I guess that is why it’s not possible as it stands.
I’ll try the player ID though, that may be better than using the same name. If not, I’ll just have to think of something witty to work around this with

Message drones and the mail system have always been big hurdles for sneaky types with multiple persona’s and I would like to see this remedied as well.

I’ve always fought for the smuggling skill: Alias. Smuggling level 90, or make a feat, or part of advanced disguise, or whatever, but you choose an alias, but you have to keep it, it has a separate mailbox, drones recognize it, and you can have a public title for it so you’re greet doesn’t look pink and people don’t trust it. That’s just me.
