Not sure if this idea has been tossed around already. (Too lazy to rummage through the 70ish pages here)
Espionage agents can make cameras, fusion cutters, and duplicate keys, so why not fully deck-out their spy arsenal with the ability to make microphones? I understand that there are rather accessible mics in the game already, but I personally think it’d be nice to be able to just buy/carry the materials and slap one together when needed.

No. God. No. That’s all I can really say. Enough people get up to shenanigans with microphones in containers already.

I wouldn’t have a problem with this, if the name was standardized. so people couldn’t do: “a bag of shenanigans”
instead it would always be “this is freaking microphone yo homie”

I’m not for this. Engineers have more than enough ‘make’ commands already that it doesn’t warrant taking one more item out of in-game shops.

Yeah…… no. I think the whole microphone thing is balanced as is, with having to come up with a creative container. /Maybe/ if when you looked at it you got a message “You notice that it is in sub…. hey! This is a microphone!”. Maybe.

mic’s are already really really powerful.
Having known items in game s part of their balance.
The other part of their known balance is that code wise.
1) mic’s don’t travel out of system unless the receiver or the transmitter gets a signal boost.
2) they will transmit through 1 bag but not 2. So a mic in a bag in a bag will stop them.
3) They are almost ALWAYS clearly marked. The exception to this was when Anna tried to force Lorrdians to be collared at creation with mic’s and gave the argazdan leader the mic channel. (Complete bullshit cause it was no remove so I made sure to tell every lorrdian to tune their collar to zero.)
Now having listed how in-depth the code already is and how many counters and ways around it do you really think we need to add makemic or stick with the concealing a mic in a container method?
