LotJ Wiki – Character Bio

Finished the first of my character bios today.

I attempted to make the page at least feel somewhat similar to Wookieepedia’s pages, though I know they use their own custom-made templates.

I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out though. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know.

The Wiki frightens me. Too many virus popups.

I haven’t had a problem yet.

Its not virus problem, its the fact that spammers have tried to bomb the wiki with their links…If you go to the &quot;recent posts&quot; section you’ll see where Walldo has been fighting a losing battle at fending them off….Someone just needs to set the wiki so that you have to register to post…that’ll solve a huge chunk of the problem

My AV has caught a trojan every time I connect to the wiki.

I had Rojan disable new user registration earlier this week. At this point it’s just a matter of ferrying out all the violaters.

It seems that the Trojan virus only comes up with Avast. AVG doesn’t catch it, not sure about Norton/etc.

I’ve been browsing various mediawiki scripts for preventing future spam attacks, so look forward to some basic &quot;type the letters&quot; authorization when editing or making new pages.

Yeah, it seems like every time I access the Wiki, my computer starts acting funny. Meh. At least for a bit. Then again, this computer’s probably so bogged down and screwed up with stuff like that.. xD;
