As of now, crackdatapad is an 110 level slicer skill, and I don’t think it’s ever used. I mean, honestly, who ever locks their datapad?

The problem is, that if you lock your datapad, even you can’t use its “datamem” function while it’s locked. So what’s the point? Sure people can’t see its contents unless they have a slicer handy, but who thinks to do this anytime they’re afraid of it getting stolen/stunned.

Solution: Have it work for whoever locked it, or better yet, add in the security rating into it, secure datapad/slice datapad. Not sure how it would allow it’s owner, and only it’s owner to use it, but perhaps that would allow spies/slicers/clan leaders/etc. to keep top secret stuff on their datapad, top secret.

i actually suggested to Miros about adding security rating to locked datapads.

I locked my datapads all the time, and would if I ever was carrying sensitive information on it again.

Being able to encrypt a datapad with secure would be very cool. Most clans usually have a high level slicer lying around, so if you were captured with it would be trivial to unlock it. Make them really work for that intel!
