Jamautopilot or whatever would be a high level slicer skill. It would not allow slicers to remove autopilot like pirateship does, instead, it would allow a high level slicer to jam the autopilot in the on or off position, whichever it is toggled to.

So say Mira breaks into a ship with the autopilot off, she uses jamautopilot and it will be stuck off until an engineer with ship maintenance comes along and does repair autopilot.

I think it would be interesting.

Not to be offensive, but I would classify this as marginally useful. The only REAL use I could see for it would be if you could break into a cappie (or corvette) on the ground before someone remembers to put the autopilot on and jam it in order to allow someone else to steal it…
and if you could break into it, odds are you could hijack it to begin with, rendering the action pointless.

If anything, I’d say scrap the entire skill and instead base it on the name: have it function like jam, but instead of disabling target/scan/etc, it makes it so the autopilot’ed ship doesn’t fire its weapons (or possibly even regen shields, but with the current low hull/shields system, it would be insta-pwn for a normally-even fight).

Autopiloted ships already don’t regenerate their shields(They do so as to the fact shields are on, and regen naturally, but not via RECHARGE skill)
