So, for quite a while now, alot of people have complained about people using sneak while walking around and claiming they just ‘walk quietly’. People whisper right in front of us, and stealthily approach us whilst we have no idea other than our prompts to warn us. emotes are all plain as day able for all to see, when sometimes you want to be subtle. Therefore I propose a new statistic to all of our lotj characters: Perception

Perception would be a hidden statistic that one could not train, and would represent the characters overall ability to listen, and observe the goings on around him/her.

A character with a high perception could notice someone sneaking into/out of a room, approaching them etc, vs their smuggling skill.

Perception could also lead to a new kind of emote. like pemote. this emote would note appear to anyone except those with high enough perception skills:

ie Joranna nervously glances toward her locker in response to the question, and then back towards the man.

now, this would provide the person asking the question a clue if they were perceptive enough to see it.

perhaps give those quiet walkers a ‘quietwalk’ skill, and move sneaking further up the tree for smugglers.

perception would go hand in hand with ambience I think to create a much broader atmosphere.

It is easier to detect a quietwalker sneaking into a quietroom than into a normal or loud ambience room.

      anyway, just a thought
