Alright, I think I may have mentioned something like this before but I either can’t find the thread, or it was deleted. Or I’m too lazy to look for it.
Anyway, I was wondering, would it be possible for the imms to make it so you can jump into uncharted sectors like "calc ’22 -22’" again? I really miss that, and I would be very happy to see that again.
At least with that back in, people don’t have to worry about losing fuel and being trapped in uncharted again.

You’re the one always telling people not to be rude so what’s with the sarcastic remark?
Anyway, I’m not going to argue. Though I still would like to see the old "calc ‘XX -YY’" system back in.

Sorry I didn’t mean for that to come off sarcastic, I 20000% agree with you (;
Bring back the old system, but keep nav charts for hidden systems.
I’d like to see some kind of system where you can ONLY access navchart systems WITH a navchart. Say Korriban was at -120, 90. If you managed to hyperspace that far WITHOUT a navchart, you will see just another empty system.
Remove the little ‘drifting’ thing and add a slicer skill to steal navcharts.
Incorporate random pirate bases in deep space that spawn pirate ships! Players can quest there to blow them up for fatty cash and EXP!

YEAH! I had a GREAT idea for stealing navcharts! It’s on the forum someplace. If they fail they get a corrupt navchart that screws up their hyperdrive! Then add in another option for ship maintenance workers, to repair the hyperdrive! Requiring a hydrospanner, a chewed up peice of gum and a paper clip!

*bump*
I still would like to see hyperspace put back the way it was. And add in Walldo’s two cents, causing it so that if you jump into a navcharted system you see no planet. Take out drifting, and add in a navcopy skill for slicers.
<Edit: Majority of this post transfered to skills>

Here’s my idea for it. We put back the old system, but it restricts you from jumping within +-10 of a chart system. That way we avoid the whole cheating thing that we had before but also enable the cool null space fun as well.

I’m not even an average pilot by my own standards, but what does "cool null space fun" mean?

Damn you rojan I had the EXACT same idea last year and I posted it in the forums you stole my idea <!– s:evil: –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_evil.gif" alt=":evil:" title="Evil or Very Mad" /><!– s:evil: –> lol
+10 -10 from a charted sector would still give a lot of space to explore thats 100 sectors around every planet!

Well, it’s already coded on the CP <!– s:) –><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="

LoL! I remember the old system well and when I returned this time to find drifting, I was a little sad. I am very glad everything is going back to how it used to be. Especially with the -10 to +10 grid around navcharted planets. Can’t wait!
