Feel free to talk about other aspects of OOC if you want, but I had a minor cosmetic change.

Basically, the newbie tag would be gone. Everyone would be a regular name/account name. The newbie channel would be reserved especially for new players looking for help. newbie <message> will give then the wonderful rainbow tag on OOC. This’ll make it easier for players/rpc/staff to spot players looking for help.

Going along with it, any character that is the first on an account (by the way, MAKE ACCOUNTS MANDATORY. ACCOUNT -> CHARACTER!))))), any time they use ooc for the first X levels, they’ll occasionally get a reminder about the newbie channel.

Sounds good to me. That way those that can’t figure out how to not bash newbies, can just turn the channel off. And those that like to help, can keep it on.

I’d just as soon keep it as a regular function of OOC. If you have OOC on, you have NEWBIE on.
