They’d basically make everything within say 1000-2000 prox of the nebula invisible to the outside of the system. So the imms could seed the MUD with them so people can hide ships/clan bases/etc inside of them.

Speaking of Locateship, it would be nice if you were not able to locate a ship based on the ship type. e.g. locateship YT-1300 showing up YT-1300 Light Freighter ‘Millennium Falcon’

I do believe this was slated for a fixing before, but it appears to have been lost.

Walldo has the most recent post of the locateship exploit assigned from mantis. Baxtalo brought it up earlier in the thread, and posted a link of it.

I brought that up last timeline when we moved all of our ships and renamed every one of them to random numbers to try to hide them from the Imperium, and that same day they found them by ship type. Ghey.

Yeah, it’s super dumb that people do stuff like that, but what do you expect?

In response to Avanga’s idea: I’m not sure how your idea is working. Why not send in a dummy ship to scout the inside of a nebula?

Its just to give people a place to hide out, since there’s very few hidden pads these days and it seems like clans have an easier time hunting down criminals.

I would think that inside a nebula you’d have to go based on sight to see any ships. Sending a dummy would be very tedious and stuff if you made it so you couldn’t see a ship that isn’t within, say, 50 units of you, especially if the nebula was a good size.

I expect things to be fixed when they say they are going to be… lol

Someone mentioned this earlier and I though it was a good idea but instead of making hidden sectors hide ships from locateship, I’d be more for the clan doing some work and developing some vessel/satellite/or something of the sort to serve for that function. As far as finding criminals goes… I’ve spent hours upon hours trying to find criminals/waiting for criminals to come back from AFK just for them to go LD. It’s not that they’re easy to find, it’s that time and effort is taken to find them.
