How bad would it be IC/OC wise as far as giving things away if there was a section in the game you could access by typing "help faq" I’m sure it would be helpful, I’m just not sure how helpful it would be without giving things away. It could include similar information to the "help new," but could also include questions frequently posed by people that played in other eras and are just coming back. If there are other help files associated with the answer, I think it’d be better to see those inline with the question, as it’d be unwieldy to put every other help file at the bottom like in most help files.

One example would be a forum question "Are there Pirates" recently asked by someone from another era.

I guess I should clarify a little.
This faq would also compile questions that are not specific to any class like &quot;What client does everybody use.&quot; I guess we’d really need an IMM or a player that often monitors the newbie channel to give a list of dumb questions they get ten times a day, as well as a list of the rules which are most often broken, easy things to slip up on, where are all the places on the web we can vote for the &quot;best mud client,&quot; common grey areas , etc. This is really a help file that would, realistically, start out pretty small and could be a file to dump things in that don’t go anywhere else. I believe in the long run, it would clear up some confusion, and make the workload for the administration a little lighter.
I know sometimes I’ll be playing along, and have a question that doesn’t have a help file about it because it doesn’t really fit any particular class/atribute/thing. My questions always seem to come up when nobody is online.
