It would be cool to be able to record a conversation caught on a microphone and then be able to replay the message and possibly decrypt it. …Imagine the following scenario

guy says in unfamiliar tone, ‘arglebargle glop glyph’ (in his clan language)

…now you have a microphone hidden in the room or on your person so it gets recorded somehow onto a disk or something.

You can take the disk back to a Diplo main who can decypher the language for you on the disk.

So I’m proposing two new skills..

      Espionage – Record microphone
      Diplomacy – Decypher Language

this may be too craazy to be able to code something like this but I’d really like to see it.

“It would be cool to be able to record a conversation caught on a microphone”

      One word: Logs

Espionage still needs a makemic skill. I don’t care what anyone says.

Kirash did you not read more than just that sentence or were you just looking for an excuse to make a stupid post about makemic

I’d like this. I’d also like if cameras actually functioned the way I asked Ghost to code them nearly a decade ago: when you’re accessing cameras, you see what’s happening in the room as if you were standing there. A microphone allows you to hear what they’re saying.

Let me check my “Care About Zeromus’s Opinion” meter

      Nope. Still empty.

I wouldn’t mind adding microphone functionality to cameras though, Avanga.

For the record, I’m not against this idea.

I cannot bring myself to rant about how much I hate seeing people go copy/paste DIRECTLY from their buffer onto a disk or something, or even clanchat, and everyone take it for complete truth. I was so happy when some dude faked logs and everyone took them as holy scripture. If anything, I’d rather have a coded way to do it than the standard “socially accepted” CTRL+C/CTRL+V

I’m with gathorn on that one.
