Well most of you wouldn’t know me, I played back in the Ghost/Raven era of this mud when he first launched it. How much has engineering taken a 180? I’ve got a long spell in Japan coming up so I figured I’d pick up playing again for a while since I’m waiting on a few other online games to come out.

Seen a lot of different things like points for choosing different races? How do you have to aquire those?

Guessing most all the areas were junked too or they all pretty much the same still minus a few new ones?

Just looking for some information since I can’t log on while I’m still on the boat. (USS George Washington) Hope everything is going well. ^.^

That question can really only be answered with another question: When do you plan to start playing?

If you plan to start in the next 3 weeks, then you’ll be starting on the older version of LotJ, which most of the documention on these forums is written about. You can browse through the newbie watering hole and get plenty of information. We’re in the final few weeks of our timeline there, and then there will be a pwipe and we’re all starting off on the new system. For now, many of the planets are the same with some additions, but the leveling system is different.

In three weeks (That our about), we’re opening our new version. The leveling system will be more similar to how you would remember it, but the planets are totally different.

Welcome back, and enjoy the game whenever you start.

Oh, engineering did a 180 regardless of when you start. Makearmor changed totally, and you can build your own ships and droids.

Well I plan to start playing as soon as I can connect to the mud. Right now I’m deployed aboard the USS George Washington so I can’t connect to any mud. I’ve been trying to find a way around it but I’ve been unsuccessful so far.

Yeah I remember most of the mechanics of engineering… sitting out here I was just thinking of how much fun it use to be to run my own little RP shop so I figured I’d do some of that in my free time while I wait for The Old Republic to come out.

I was there at the beginning of making your own ships… after my I kicked my old girl out I didn’t play much and then military training and getting deployed to Japan for the last couple of years I’ve found other things to keep me occupied. <!– s8) –><!– s8) –>

Is engineering still pretty material dependant or is it mostly based on your character skill? Either way I guess I’ll find out for myself here in about a week when I get back to Japan. Can’t wait to get off this boat and start supplying arms to all the low life scum of the galaxy again! ^.^

You MIGHT be able to use this to play, as it’s a flash-based web-client. If you can see Youtube videos, this should work: <!– m –>http://mudgamers.com/2009/04/23/legends-of-the-jedi/<!– m –>

Hit ‘Play Now’ at the bottom of that page[/quote:w8f10kh1]

I tried that, I just get "Unable to connect: socket error." I’ve got a real itch to play too so I’ve been trying everything. Can’t wait to get back to Japan. Real sushi and LotJ <!– s;) –><!– s;) –>

Just "Unable to Connect: Socket Error." Doesn’t give me anything that would be useful.
